At Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, we design and build the future of aerospace. We are seeking a Tool Engineer - Staff to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, you will provide oversight and support for the planning and execution of the New Business Funds (NBF) portfolio associated with the Engineering Design and Tooling Integration (EDTI) team. Acting as both the Project Manager for NBF efforts and Control Account Manager (CAM) for the EDTI team, you will play a vital role in advancing manufacturing processes and driving standardization across multiple sites.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Lead NBF Initiatives: Manage and oversee the planning and execution of the NBF portfolio across all EDTI projects and sites.
Act as CAM and IP Coordinator: Serve as the primary point of contact for Control Account Management and documentation of intellectual property within the EDTI team.
Collaborate Across Functions: Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Materials & Processes, MRB, Tool Services, and Shop Floor Personnel to improve assembly processes.
Develop Best Practices: Research, analyze, and develop assembly processes to integrate best practices and standardization efforts, improving performance and reducing costs.
Provide Technical Support: Deliver expert technical assistance and guidance to production personnel as needed.
Problem-Solve Effectively: Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges in critical hole preparation and assembly applications.
Foster Team Collaboration: Work independently and in team settings, leveraging strong communication skills across all levels of management.
Travel as Needed: Support other Lockheed Martin facilities, including domestic and international production partners, through intermittent travel.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience and knowledge of assembly processes and requirements common to aircraft production.
• Aircraft structural assembly and technical requirements experience.
• Experience in resolving engineering, production, tooling and assembly issues related to aircraft structural assemblies.
• Experience with Catia V5, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Considered career, or journey, level.
• Min. 5 years Aircraft structural assembly and technical requirements experience.
• Min. 5 years’ experience in resolving engineering, production, tooling and assembly issues related to aircraft structural assemblies.
• Demonstrated creative approach to technical problem solving.
• Experience and knowledge of New Business Funds project processes, procedures and reporting requirements.
• Working knowledge and experience interfacing with Materials & Processes and Stress engineering personnel associated with the interpretation, creation, or revision of engineering requirements associated with the development of new technology to be used on aircraft structures, airframes and canopies.
• Demonstrated experience with Teams and SharePoint applications.
• Ability to work individually and within a teaming environment.
• Exhibit strong communication skills among peers and through different levels of management. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, good written and verbal communication for interfacing with technical support team and build teams.
• Experience in the application of lean/six sigma manufacturing techniques.
• Experience developing or reading and interpreting design requirements.
• Experience designing and manufacturing details required for process improvement prototypes.
• Experience programming and setting up various additive manufacturing equipment.
• Working knowledge and experience with leading or providing oversight to various projects.
• Experience with Teams, SharePoint, PDM, EDMS, and VAS software suites.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
