Job Responsibilities
Description:This occupation requires assisting technicians in the operation, testing, construction, component level maintenance and repair of electronic systems and associated electrical and mechanical equipment/systems, including integration with missile launch operations, flight facility support and related product. Will assist in countdown test, post-flight or recovery programs.
WORK PERFORMED Assemble and set up equipment following engineering instructions and production illustrations such as manufacturer’s specifications, service manuals and bulletins, or other engineering-approved written technical data or oral instructions. May work under direction of technician. Perform functional checks, and assist in installing electronic assemblies and circuits such as signal, control, coax, fiber optic cables, and communications circuits for electronic systems, fixtures and accessories. Following engineer’s or technician’s instructions, lay out, fabricate, construct, install and assemble chassis, panels and equipment enclosures for electronic devices. Replace equipment power cords and connect/disconnect A/C modules. Assist technicians in installing and maintaining electronic systems, security systems, electro-mechanical entry locks, door strikes and locking devices. Maintain electronic and mechanical functions of RFI and STC-45 sound chambers/rooms and security booths. Assist technicians in operational checkout, functional tests and repairs to major assembly or circuit board level of electronic systems, electro-mechanical equipment, computer-controlled environmental and security systems, video systems, non-facility Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) systems (including battery maintenance), transducers, telecommunication systems and microwave and radio systems. Monitor control systems and assist technicians in support of launch facility operations. Install thermocouples in powder grain. Operate shellcross meters for bonding checks of mechanical components and panel installation. Operate support equipment necessary for the loading or offloading of cargo aircraft. Performs mechanical operations necessary for the installation, repair, maintenance, dismantling and disassembly directly related to the above systems. May be required to perform routine maintenance and upkeep for the prevention of corrosion. Work with or assist technicians in other fields of specialization by performing operations of the level of difficulty described herein.
Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge of basic electronic theory and general principles of digital.
• Experience in systems repair to component level, standard shop practice and procedures.
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of basic electronic theory and general principles of digital (RS 232, RS 422), video (RS 170A), telephone systems and fiber optic systems.
• Experience in systems repair to component level, standard shop practice and procedures.
• Understand digital to analog signal conversion.
• Knowledge of fiber optic termination and testing.
• Knowledge of telecommunications and data processing equipment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
The base range for this position in California is $26.10 - $44.99.
