Job Responsibilities
Description:You will be the Software Quality Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for pioneering high-performance air and missile defense, air-to-air, precision fires, close combat, sustainment, sensors, strike system, and energy storage solutions to support our warfighting and civilian customers.
Travel is required to support program activities.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Systems and Software Quality Engineering common processes aligned with AS9100 Quality Management System, Program, and Customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and applying quality principles to software and software-based systems
• Designing and implementing software development and maintenance processes
• Defining audit strategies to ensure compliance with systems and software processes
• Designing and conducting test methods for software inspection, verification, and validation
• Evaluating and analyzing software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction
• Reviewing software products against contractual, technical, and process requirements
• Interfacing with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers

Basic Qualifications:
-Active Secret Security Clearance
-STEM degree at the bachelor level or above preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education
-Experience with product development phases
-Basic knowledge of audit principles and techniques
-Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design / Development, Product Integration and Test, with experience using causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex
-Experience interpreting software design and code (ADA / C / C++) to verify implementation of requirements
-Familiarity with test equipment hardware and/or experience working with related technologies
-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
-Ability to travel about 25% of the time
Desired Skills:
-STEM degree at the bachelor level or above preferred
-Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
-Hands on experience with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SaFE, etc.)
-Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems / Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001)
-Experience interfacing with Government customers and stakeholders
-Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 6 years.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
