Senior Manager leading the Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) organization for Missiles and Fire Control (MFC).

This position reports to the Director of MFC Operations Engineering, within the Production Operations organization.

The position location can be either Orlando, Florida or Dallas, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicate vision and inspire people at every level to deliver and execute the manufacturing strategy of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology organization.

Work collaboratively with Engineering and Technology, Applied Research, Advanced Programs, Strategic Planning, Business Development and the MFC production sites and centers to establish manufacturing technologies required to improve operations and win future business.

Continually monitoring manufacturing technologies, market trends and business strategies that affect manufacturing technologies/capabilities required for future products that will improve products and manufacturing capabilities.

Establish an advanced manufacturing technology strategy, assisting and measuring its implementation and the results of the implementation.

Collaborate with Engineering and Technology and the MFC production sites and centers to gain credibility and establish a foothold of these new technologies into existing and future product developments to increase profits and make future offering more capable and affordable.

Lead MFC Production Operations' Internal Research and Development (IRAD) efforts.

Lead the MFC Production Operations efforts for Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA) between the US government, private companies, universities and MFC.

Innovate and develop the next generation of manufacturing technologies and standards.

Identify and incorporate Digital Transformation technologies into MFC Operations.

Identify what technologies should be sourced internally or externally.

Collaborate with other Lockheed Martin Business Areas to implement best practices for advanced manufacturing technologies.

Incorporate Digital Transformation initiatives to develop new products and/or production processes.

Innovate and develop the next generation of manufacturing technologies and standards.

Candidate must be customer-focused with good oral and written communication skills. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and work effectively in teams and with all levels of management.

Candidate should be a self-starter with demonstrated self-initiated goals and results

Demonstrated ability to become embraced and trusted by the Engineering and Technology and Operations leadership.

Excellent business acumen.

Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to become embraced and trusted by the Engineering and Technology, Business Development and Operations Leadership.

Ability to communicate vision and inspire people at every level to deliver and execute the manufacturing strategy for MFC.

A balance of vision and the ability to discern real capability.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college.

Leading, managing, assessing and developing Operations talent.

The ability to analyze internal and supplier production technologies and capabilities.

Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Experience with implementing new manufacturing technologies into production.

Experience with Production Operations.

Experience with Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering.

Experience with program and/or project Operations.

Experience with EAC and Budgeting processes.

Experience with implementing Digital Transformation initiatives.
Desired Skills:
Masters degree in technical field. Masters degree in Business.

Lean Six Sigma experience, training or certification.

Experience with Digital Transformation.

Experience with MFC's manufacturing centers.

Current Secret Clearance.

Familiarity with MFC manufacturing technologies.

Familiarity with MFC production facilities.

Principle Investigator for Independent Research and Development projects.

Experience with developing responses to Broad Agency Announcements research.

Experience with developing CRADA relationships to advance cooperative research.

Experience with producibility assessments and improvements.

Experience with conducting Manufacturing and Technology Readiness Level assessments.

Lean and Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

Experience with production work measurement.

Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
