THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Procurement Quality Engineer (PQE) for a position based out of Orlando, FL to manage the execution of tasks and provide quality oversight to Suppliers supporting the Rotary and Tactical Training Solutions (RTATS) submarket segment which includes Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH), VH-92, CH53K, AIR5428, F-16, etc.. The position will require working flexible hours and both domestic and international travel to support suppliers activity and program acceptance. As a member of the Procurement Quality Engineering Team, this individual will work with the PQE lead responsible for coordinating all efforts to ensure high quality and technical performance of deliverables from major subcontractors/suppliers for RTATS.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
· Testing high fidelity aircraft flight simulators, aircraft maintenance trainers, logistics/depot business systems, and other training platforms
· Lead several subcontracts and suppliers on several levels to the project/program schedule, cost, and technical requirements
· Performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product line validations
· Identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective root cause, corrective and preventative actions are implemented
· Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions tied to Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
· Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, collaborate with customer needs and program management activities
· Perform on-going surveillance of supplier's conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents and provide written weekly reports
· Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering and supplier management matters
· Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and collaborate with supplier daily
· Lead process improvements, internal audits, and supplier product drawings and technical artifacts reviews.
· Support supplier selections and understand new designs, technologies, processes, complexity levels and key characteristics going to suppliers, as applicable.
· Effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Sub-contracts Management Team and Customer Government Representatives

Basic Qualifications:
-Must have ability to obtain a security clearance
-Must be able to support up to 60% travel to customer sites at domestic and international locations to participate activities such as supplier test events, surveillance, device installations, inspections, and configuration audits.
-Technical Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience (system integration, I&T experience, systems engineering, IT background, field rep, or other); or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
-Experience in preparing for and executing system test plans, test procedures, and installation plans, inspection reports, etc..
-Experience authoring & reviewing technical documentation, ex: technical data package, technical manuals, work instructions, inspection instructions, engineering drawings, etc.. in line with DID requirements & system requirements
-Familiarity with industry standards (AS9100, ISO-9001, ASTM, IEEE, MIL-STD, etc…)

-Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment
-Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and be flexible to support all supplier quality field engineering activities
-Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment and weekly reports
-Experience working closely with government customers
-Knowledge of training devices and training environments
-SIM Tech Experience
-Training Visual Systems Experience
-Former Pilot experience
-Aircraft Maintenance / Mechanical Experience
-Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at major supplier sites
-Experience in conducting Physical Configuration Audits
-Six Sigma Green Belt certification
-Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102
-American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications.
-Knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes, source acceptance inspections, and auditing.
-A basic understanding of EPDM/Windchill, SAP, and P2P business systems
-Knowledge of major subcontractor / supplier flow downs, SSOW, SSPECs, etc..
-Experience with subsystem/system/software integration and system/product life cycle, experience with Agile & waterfall methodology

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
