Description:

You will be a Manufacturing Manager for the Sensor Integration Test Center (SITC) team. Our team is responsible for leading the manufacturing efforts for electro-optical infrared fire control sensors systems for a variety of platforms and customers.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for leading one of four Mission Areas within SITC, including Fabrication Operations, Fixed Wing Sensor Systems, Rotary Wing Sensor Systems, and Class Ops. You will direct the daily activities of the functional support staff and manufacturing staff, and work closely with the SITC Center Manager and Sr. Staff. Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading a team of manufacturing staff and functional support staff in a complex manufacturing environment
• Balancing multiple program priorities through a common manufacturing facility
• Planning labor and equipment capacity, including management of capital investment
• Recruiting and retaining technician and supervision staff in a Collective Bargaining Agreement (union) environment
• Managing Mission Area performance to safety, quality, schedule, technical, and cost targets
• Implementing continuous improvement processes through the use of Lean Manufacturing concepts

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience leading in a manufacturing environment, or 6 years of other relevant leadership experience.

Experience with leading a team that includes individual contributors and managers


Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a workforce with diverse technical skills, through dynamic technical, cost, and schedule challenges.

Demonstrated ability to work in a high-paced environment and demonstrated ability to make decisions, delegate responsibilities, take ownership for deliverables, and execute through effective communications in both factory and leadership settings.
Desired Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of leadership in a highly regulated precision manufacturing environment and proven ability to lead high expectation, high performing and high morale teams.


Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering degree

Production Control experience - "make planning" a plus

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

OLDP and POLI graduates
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
