Job Responsibilities
Description:A F-35 Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) Off-board Mission Systems SME will specifically lead the personnel assigned to the Mission Planning Support Environment (MPSE). The successful candidate will serve as an OMS Technical leader responsible for all facets of the F-35 ALIS MPSE system. You will be the primary point of contract for the Nellis Off-board Mission Systems Team responsible to ensure their success as well as the success of your team. Off-board Mission Systems Manager will perform a variety of activities that combine the experience of Mission Planning Support Environment capabilities with in-depth aircraft avionics architecture knowledge that focuses daily on combat capability aircraft and mission effective sorties.
A Day in the Life:
As an ALIS OMS SME you will wear many hats as the daily customer mission dictates. The two primary hats consist of mission planning admin duties and daily monitoring of air vehicle issues to identify times where mission planning integration and flightline avionics maintenance mix and resolve those occurrences. The ALIS OMS SME is the first point of contact for customer inquiries related to MPSE products and bridges the flightline to the pilot environment. The ALIS OMS SME fields questions and assists in MPSE troubleshooting activities or aircraft system troubleshooting activities. As an ALIS OMS SME you will be assigned tasks in MPE administrative roles and have access to FSE tools/software to bring multiple capabilities to resolve issues.
The ALIS OMS SME will be qualified and capable of assisting our customer deployed in multiple roles to enable effective sorties. An ALIS OMS Manager is a critical member of the F-35 operations employment team, all ALIS OMS SME must be able to:
· Obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access
· Obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance if required by the customer
· This is an operational support role to active fighter units. ALIS OMS SME must be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments (ship and/or shore) for extended periods of time dependent upon operational needs.
· Candidates must be willing and able to deploy with Customer personnel to the Continental United States (CONUS), Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) and hazardous duty locations. Long term deployments may be required. US Department of Defense (DoD) mandated vaccinations may be required
· Capable of working various shift hours to include weekends to support customer mission requirements
· Candidates offered a position may be required to complete a pre-employment medical exam that is designed to ensure capability to deploy with our military customer, which may be to austere environments with limited access to medical care.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Acting as the team's interface with the site-lead, OMS Manager & the ALIS program office
• Interacting daily with users & acting as a Subject Matter Expert for the ALIS product suite
· Experienced & knowledgeable with F-35 Mission Planning Support Environment (MPSE) product suite & fully understands how MPSE products interface with the air vehicle.
· Experienced & knowledgeable about F-35 air vehicle avionics architecture & capable of using & interpreting F-35 aircraft system troubleshooting tools/software
· Support pilots in Mission Planning/Debriefing and identify/resolve system shortfalls
· Support Field Support Engineers (FSE) & aircraft maintenance technicians in avionics troubleshooting to return aircraft to service
o Technical Lead for both Autonomous Logistics Information System (ALIS) & MPE administrators during deployed operations. Act as focal point for all ALIS and MPSE matters before, during and after deployments.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Secret security clearance with investigation within the last 6 years
o The Candidate must have experience with at least one engineering tool to include, but not limited to FSE Vision/VAST, PDM (Thin/Thick), VAS, JEDI, JARVIS, PHM Plotter, or CRE
o Candidate must posses DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA) prior to start date
o At least 4 years 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft (F-22 - F-35) experience
o Minimum of 4 years experience with Avionics/Mission systems (MS) and/or Vehicle System/APG (VS).
Desired Skills:
o Prior experience working with Pilot Weapons School or Operational Test (OT) environments
o Minimum 7 year’s experience with Avionics/Mission systems (MS) and/or Vehicle System/APG (VS).
o COMSEC and COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) experience
o Personal Computer Debrief Software (PCDS) experience
o Military Flight Operations & Planning Processes
o Account Maintenance using Active Directory/LDAP
o Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers, virtual machines, and network equipment
o Maintaining/upgrading system hardware, startup/shutdown of all components and prepare all associated equipment for deployed operations
o Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates
o Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and software
o Previous Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience
o Experience communicating to Military leadership teams and Senior Leaders
o Fault isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level.
o Technical report writing skills
o Experience with technical drawings/schematics reading and interpretation.
o Knowledge of CATIA and System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
