THE WORK
Determines most efficient and economical method of production testing, plans and writes test specifications methods and instructions manually or by using computers where required, adapts or modifies existing test equipment or designs new equipment and circuits to meet test specification requirements and estimates cost of testing and test equipment to assure quality performance of manufactured electronic equipment and components.

Test Method engineering duties include writing and reviewing Test method procedure as necessary. Specific technical knowledge is needed in the waveguide testing aera. This position will be responsible for the Test Methods to test waveguide to calculate shim to support the fleet for and issues.

Other duties include the maintenance of all calibrated test equipment in both PTC 1 and PTC 2 along with the building equipment racks to support testing and troubleshooting on all Aegis Weapon system and development testing.

Another task is the maintenance and updating of PTC Towers 3 and 10 for testing. These towers are used to create real world scenarios to test the AWS and development systems. Typical failures at the towers are amplifiers, horns and cable runs. Since the towers are exposed to the elements, issues arise several times a year. Troubleshooting may include the ability and willingness to climb the 150 foot towers.
Operation and experience using Network Analyzers, Fluke Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, Peak Power meters.
Troubleshooting complex circuits with faults during test events.

Please Note: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

This level of position is early to mid-career and candidates typically have 3 to 5 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Candidate should have experience/familiarity with microwave RF, Digital, and Analog measurement / troubleshooting techniques, digital signal probing, electrical schematic development

• Ability to develop software in the test environment.

• Candidate should have experience/familiarity with design, procurement, assembly and documentation of automated test stations

• Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, team oriented manufacturing environment. Effectively communicate both written and orally. Able to take on leadership roles and manage test projects efficiently.

• Candidate must be able to obtain an interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a security clearance requires US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
Willingness and ability to climb 150 ft towers. Experience building test equipment racks to support testing and troubleshooting of the Aegis Weapon Systems. Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting the resident switching network needed to support system and development testing in multi test suites.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
