Come join Lockheed's Strategic Reentry Programs. This group of diverse Engineers has a long history of supporting the Air Force Mission reaching back to the 1960's. Today's challenge is to support the modernization of the Minuteman Weapon System by crafting, building, testing and deploying new Reentry Systems and Ground Equipment that will enable the new system to perform for many years to come. This critical mission area must be done right, pass meticulous certifications and last for many years to come. If this challenge is for you, you belong in SRP.

As a Project Engineer for the Sentinel program, your primary responsibilities will be:

- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and program management in Risk and Opportunity Management activities, including the use of LM common tools to capture, track and communication Risks and Opportunities to the program and Mission Segment

- Facilitate Program and Business Area Risk and Opportunities Management Board (ROMB) meetings, and help deliver Risk and Opportunity training as necessary

- Assess impact of Risks and Opportunities program schedules and work plans

- Coordinate the risk assessments and mitigation planning throughout Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)

- Ensure Risk and Opportunity Management is coordinated across Program and major suppliers
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related field, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering development processes and phases of development lifecycle (proposal, design, qualification, requirements verification/validation, production and deployed system support)
• Familiarity with the Risk and Opportunity Management Processes and/or associated Tools
• Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools
• Ability to articulate detailed technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, management and customers
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management tools and processes
• Systems Engineering experience on Missile or space systems
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
• Experience collaborating with internal and external customers and executive leadership
• Strong communications and social skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peer
• Basic understanding of systems thinking techniques
• Effectively manage change
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $80,600 - $139,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
