Job Responsibilities
Description:We are seeking an Army Flight Systems Lead within the Hypersonic Strike Weapon Systems (HSWS) mission area. In this full spectrum leadership role, you will report to the Flight Systems program director and be responsible for all aspects of the Army segments of multiple HSWS deliveries that support fielding of missiles for the Army Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program. HSWS is an accelerated weapon systems development program delivering critical capabilities to Army and Navy customers.
We need a leader who can work in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and functional domains.
In this dynamic role you will:
- Work directly with other HSWS program leaders to ensure that the execution of Army tasks are well-planned and remain on track
- Interact with the Army Hypersonics Program Office (AHPO) and Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO M&S), located on Redstone Arsenal, customer base on a daily basis and communicate any key customer concerns and critical issues as they emerge
- Attend customer and program recurring meetings and briefings
- Provide Army customer with updates on program status to include metrics, technical and programmatic issues
- Represent HSWS leadership during stakeholder engagements at the All-Up-Round production facility
- Coordinate with the Long Range Hypersonic Weapons (LRHW) program to ensure seamless execution of Army related efforts on HSWS contracts
- Coordinate Army related efforts with Navy customers as needed to facilitate seamless program execution for both services.
- Ensure the Flight Systems Director and appropriate HSWS Program Leaders are up-to-date on key customer concerns and critical issues
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master schedule, utilize Risk Management to identify program problems and develop solutions, such as resource allocation or changing contractual direction
- Act on behalf of the Flight Systems Director and HSWS Program Leaders when needed in execution of the program
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in DoD missile systems
- Missile development or production or sustainment experience
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and independently, in a fast-paced environment, with minimal direction
- Experience working with US Army customers
- Program Management and/or Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
- Periodic travel within the United States
Desired Skills:
- 15+ years missile development experience
- Joint program experience, preferably, working with Army and Navy customers
- Experience working with senior USG officers, preferably O-6 level
- Experience in Army ground systems and/or fielding support
- Advanced Degree in Engineering and/or business administration
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leader competencies
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects against competing priorities and produce results under deadline pressure; must have sharp attention for details and accuracy.
- Strong team building skills and ability to foster customer relationships
- Experience with software development, hardware development/redesign, and/or system integration
- Demonstrated skills generating cost/schedule estimates of varying complexity for new business pursuits and experience with proposal development and proposal prep, INAR, EPP, and/or negotiations
- Team-building and interpersonal skills leading cross-functional teams
- Leadership experience across individuals and teams
- Experience managing programs with significant subcontractor content
- Proven ability to ensure team's adherence to processes
- Process improvement skills within and across organizational boundaries to drive efficiencies and affordability

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
