Location: This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Littleton CO , and be expected to work in the office.




What does this role look like?

Join us at Lockheed Martin as a Subsystem Lead for Command and Data Handling Hardware where you will lead and oversee development, design and production phases for Command and Data Handling hardware, providing you with tremendous career growth potential along with meaningful assignments to stretch and hone your expertise.




Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• Ownership for delivery of fully integrated C&DH subsystem (components, design, analysis, verification, validation, certification) for cost, schedule and technical.
• Interface with GeoXO Customer Subsystem Counterparts
• Lead Subsystem team to successful Subsystem and System PDR and CDR milestones. Subsystem team includes Product Center Product Leads for enterprise products.
• Manage APS process and Coordinate with POMS/Product Leads to ensure successful production readiness.
• Manage RSE and their efforts, resulting in successful subsystem certification. Frequent consultation with Subsystem RSEs to ensure program priorities and technical challenges are managed.
• Manage Technical Trades and Baseline updates (including coordinating TWGs and FSDTs)
• Look ahead and manage on time delivery of all Subsystem related CDRLs
• Drive release of Subsystem and Component Specs by subsystem team including linkages to all parent documentation
• Manage risk and identify mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives.
• Accountability as a delegate CAM as decided by IPT lead
• Regularly review 30/60/90 day schedule and plan/adjust accordingly
• Manage Engineering Planning resources to develop and drive engineering plans
• Manages resources to execute subsystem plan including identifying and driving corrective actions
• Weekly execution management with Product Leads and engineering staff
• Contribute weekly to IPT’s 4-blocker activity report to Spacecraft Director
• Coordinate VEMO staffing demand with talent center leaders
• Manage Labor Aug Planning and execution with IPT Lead
• Provide inputs and coordination with IPT lead in all baseline and planning efforts
• Support customer change requests and proposal inputs for their subsystem (BOEs)
• Manage baseline and forecast accuracy (BEI/CEI) with planning
• Weekly review and management of supplemental schedules and QBD’s
• Manage Engineering Planning resources to develop and drive engineering plans
• Integrate with Product Leads/PC/production/SCM to ensure compliant and on-time delivery of products
• Provide inputs/impacts to any internal or customer change requests (Technical, Financial, and Schedule)




To be effective in this role, you will need:

• 14+ years professional experience; 12+ years with Masters degree.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Experience as a Technical Product or Project Lead
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated previous technical or project leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to review Staffing plans / ETC and coordinate with Finance for EAC reviews
• Has demonstrated proficient presentation skills and associated presentation tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
