What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Production Operations Specialist at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Greenville, SC, you will play a critical role in supporting the production and assembly of the F-16 Block 70 aircraft. This position, primarily for the weekend shift (Friday-Sunday), will focus on overseeing daily operations on the production line, ensuring adherence to manufacturing standards, and providing on-the-job training to technicians. You will be responsible for identifying and addressing deficiencies in processes, conducting skill assessments, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the highest levels of quality and efficiency. Your expertise in aircraft manufacturing principles and problem-solving will help shape the success of the F-16 program and contribute to global aerospace innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the F-16 Block 70 assembly line, identifying and addressing process deficiencies to ensure seamless and efficient production.

- Conduct training for technicians on manufacturing standards and procedures, assessing their proficiency and making recommendations for re-certification or de-certification as needed.

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing 6S and lean manufacturing methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure optimal performance on the production line.

- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action investigations to resolve issues and drive improvements in the aircraft manufacturing process.

- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of aircraft manufacturing principles and ensure that all production activities adhere to Lockheed Martin’s high standards for quality, safety, and industry compliance.

- Must be a United States citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in Aviation Production, Maintenance, Modification, Repair or Overhaul (MMRO) Operations.

Experience meeting critical schedules, resolving complex and/or time sensitive technical or operational issues.

Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.

Experience interacting with internal/external customers.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college

Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments.

Previously awarded an Air Force, Marine, or Navy 7 level discipline skill level rating or possess equivalent civilian experience with associated credential such as an licensed FAA “Airframe and Power" plant or Inspector Airframe license.

Previous experience in aviation structural repair or manufacturing associated with drill, ream, and countersink knowledge - skill - and abilities.

Ability to create and utilize metrics related to performance.

Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.

Demonstrated ability to create, monitor and report on all executive operations metrics.

Experience in Lean Manufacturing or processes.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
