What You Will Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer – F-16 Tooling Coordinator at Lockheed Martin, you will drive process improvements, optimize manufacturing efficiency, and implement data-driven solutions for the F-16 program. Collaborating across production and engineering teams, you’ll play a key role in enhancing quality, reducing production time, and supporting one of the aerospace industry’s most iconic programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to coordinate impactful tooling initiatives while contributing to cutting-edge aerospace innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Tool Periodic Inspection Coordination; Working with production operations to coordinate and automate the tooling verification process while utilizing shared resources across multiple sites
- Tooling Rework & Repair Coordination; Standup & lead periodic F16 Tool Master reviews to drive cross functional alignment and accountability on rework & repair efforts in progress.
- Provide Schedule & Priority clarification to the Manufacturing Engineering team
- Tooling project integration and resolution
- Identify, plan, and implement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce standard and non-standard production hours.
- Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to address challenges, develop solutions, and ensure alignment on process improvement strategies.
- Use data-driven methodologies to identify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity improvements, and corrective actions.
- Develop and execute corrective action plans to address production issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement innovative solutions.
- Uphold Lockheed Martin’s quality standards by ensuring all process improvements and manufacturing activities comply with company and regulatory requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college with 5 years of professional experience, 3 years of professional experience with a Masters degree, or 8 years of experience in absence of Bachelors Degree
Experience working with tooling on a legacy platform
Experience working in a production environment
Project Management experience
Experience briefing Sr leadership on project milestones
Desired Skills:
Supply Chain experience
Experience coordinating multiple complex projects to closure concurrently
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
PMP certification
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
