You will be the Communications Manager for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC), leading a team that supports Culture and Transformation efforts, including Human Resources, 1LMX/Transformation, Strategy & Business Development, and internal communications channel strategies to include any intranet transformation efforts. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing effective communications strategies to drive business results.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and communications support to senior executive leadership, leading a small team of communicators, and mentoring and coaching team members to achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing strategic oversight and communications support to senior executive leadership
• Mentoring and coaching team members
• Managing multiple projects and developing and implementing communications strategies
• Influencing leadership thinking in strategic communications and issues management
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience leading projects and/or project teams.
• Strong writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways.
• Previous strategic communications experience managing multiple projects.
Desired Skills:
• Strategist with strong instincts and expertise influencing leadership thinking in strategic communications and issues management.
• Executive presence and Full Spectrum Leadership characteristics.
• Motivated self-starter who performs without appreciable direction and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Quick study with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
