As a Manufacturing Engineer Senior (Level 3) supporting the 1st shift Wing Structures production build team, you will play a critical role in ensuring production efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement for the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft..
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Provide production floor support and Quality Assurance Review (QAR) support to maintain smooth operations and high-quality outcomes.
• Work directly with shop floor personnel, manufacturing teams, and F-35 site management to drive process improvements.
• Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Wing Structures production.
• Lead corrective action efforts, identifying and resolving production challenges to optimize build processes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and proactively communicate on major issues across F-35 build areas.
• Mentor early-career engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to enhance efficiency and implement innovative solutions.

Who You Are
• A highly skilled and detail-oriented manufacturing engineer with experience in floor support and corrective action.
• A problem-solver with expertise in root cause analysis to resolve complex production issues.
• A strong communicator who collaborates effectively across engineering, quality, and production teams.
• A proactive leader who takes initiative to drive process improvements and innovation in a production environment.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in production floor support and corrective action.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies.
• Experience using CATIA V5 or similar 3D design software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and tool designs.
• Experience working in a production environment with both represented and non-represented employees.
Desired Skills:
• BS/MS in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge of F-35 production line practices and requirements.
• Experience with F-35 Manufacturing Engineering processes.
• Proficiency in QADS, SFM, SAP, CAPP, PDM, and ICA.
• Experience supporting non-standard repair work in a production environment.
• Experience implementing design changes into a production life cycle.
• Ability to manage tool life cycles, including scheduling and validating tool trial runs.
• Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma techniques to drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
