THE WORK
Join Our Team as an Instructional System Designer!
We're on the hunt for a highly skilled Instructional System Designer (ISD) to join our dynamic F35 ALIS and Mission Planning Environment training development team! As an ISD, you'll have the opportunity to apply the ADDIE process to create and sustain innovative courseware, work instructions, and collaborate with a talented team of professionals, including subject matter experts, engineers, and other product teams.
About the Role:
You'll be an integral part of our team, adhering to approved style guides and our comprehensive JSFISD instructional design plan, which outlines our policies and standards.
You'll be involved in all aspects of the ADDIE process, driving the effective development of high-quality courseware content that meets our customers' needs.
Your exceptional writing, editing, and oral communication skills will enable you to communicate effortlessly with our team, including engineers, graphic artists, and subject matter experts.
You'll be able to distill complex technical data into actionable insights, creating and sustaining work instructions that drive results.
As a self-starter, you'll thrive in our fast-paced environment, interacting effectively with military, industry, and academic partners.
You may also participate in training needs analysis and gap analysis, helping us identify areas for improvement and optimize our training programs.
You'll develop training content using our program of record Learning Content Management System (LCMS), ensuring seamless delivery and deployment.
Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, is a must, as well as familiarity with F35 ALIS, MPE, or admin software applications.

WHO YOU ARE
You are a dynamic and results-oriented professional with a passion for driving operational excellence and optimizing production processes. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at managing complex projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Basic Qualifications:
Relevant education and experience: A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of recent experience with F35 ALIS or mission planning.
Training development experience: 5 years of experience creating and sustaining formal training products, including instructor guides, student guides, and supplemental materials.
Instructional Systems Design (ISD) expertise: 5 years of experience applying ISD principles to analyze, design, develop, and implement training products.
Adult learning theory and technical skills: Experience applying adult learning theory, training principles, and techniques, as well as developing technical solutions to complex problems.
Software proficiency: Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Captivate, InDesign, InCopy), Learning Content Management System (LCMS), TEAMS, JIRA, and Multi-Media Design Architecture.
Interpersonal and teaming skills: Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and collaborate with others.
Overall, this position requires a candidate with a unique blend of technical, instructional design, and interpersonal skills to develop effective training products for the F35 program.
Desired Skills:
The following skills are desired for this role:
-Excellent writing and editing skills
-Familiarity with military training standards, including experience developing training for both domestic and international military personnel
-Working knowledge of F35 ALIS or mission planning software
-Experience creating work instructions
-Experience developing Job Aids using Adobe Captivate
-Experience using agile tools, such as Confluence or JIRA
-Experience using a Learning Content Management System, including dominKnow, 360, or similar programs
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
