As an Embedded Materials & Processes Associate Manager you’ll work on a broad range of projects that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. Working side by side with manufacturing engineers, designers, and test you’ll use your education, experience and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new and innovative technology in support of manufacturing.
In this role you will:
•Coach and oversee group and individual development using technical leadership and performance management
• Ensure efforts are effectively staffed and that personnel are fully engaged and committed to program success
• Maintain awareness, engagement and communication of critical issues and their reach across programs
• Lead and execute strategic initiatives to improve cost, schedule, and technical performance
• Lead technical projects across all program phases and with impact across multiple program areas
• Select Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) on new and existing designs, get hands-on manufacturing experience in Courtland Operations area.
• Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement
We're looking for:
• Experience coordinating work and personnel across multiple work locations and organizational structures
• Someone with the ability to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects and timeline pressure to meet deadlines
• Experience in thermal protection systems, composites assembly, large scale manufacturing, electronics manufacturing
• Experience modeling Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives, ownership and accountability
• Someone willing to mentor and teach junior engineers
• Technical leadership of small teams or projects
• Proven ability to communicate key project information or recommendations to Program management and /or Customers

Successful applicants will typically professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment, along with a minimum education level of Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering degree, or equivalent experience/combined education
Basic Qualifications:
• Previous professional experience in Mechanical or Electrical M&P applied to Missile Vehicle design, production and operations.
• Experience in mentoring and supporting career development
• Experience guiding the successful completion of significant projects and/or multi-discipline team efforts by applying technical knowledge and leadership skills
• Experience working collaboratively with customers and teammates
• Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a highly dynamic, high tempo environment.
Desired Skills:
• Experience in leading a team as a team/IPT leader or coded manager
• Familiar with using business tools and systems for configuration management and quality control (e.g. SAP, EPDM, PMPDB, LIMS)
• Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, management and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret complex technical requirements and to develop technical plans/solutions to satisfy those requirements
• Working knowledge of Wire and Cable design or build
• Working knowledge of complex bonding operations
• Working knowledge of Contamination Control Implementation

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
