Description:
You will be the Supplier Quality Field Representative Staff for the THAAD production program team. Our team is responsible for driving down risk to the product and customer through continuous improvement and a proactive mindset.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Supplier Quality Field Representative Staff, you will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure quality standards and product requirements are met. You will travel across the United States to support suppliers and implement supplier contract requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier facilities and maintaining feedback loops.
• Performing surveillance to ensure supplier conformance to company and program requirements.
• Conducting source inspections, manufacturing process validations, and supplier risk and capability assessments. • Monitoring supplier performance and providing support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions.
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure quality standards and product requirements are met.
• Ensuring control of supplier nonconforming items and monitoring effectiveness of corrective actions.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Candidate must be a US citizen and have ability to obtain a security clearance
-In-depth knowledge and experience in Quality processes and procedures, including AS9100 and ISO- 9001 Quality Management Systems
-Strong understanding of engineering drawings requirements, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and electrical inspection methods
-Must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action
-Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
-Prior electrical engineering experience
-Strong understanding of special processes and an overall understanding of how to manage and interface with suppliers daily to support the Program
-Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, including working with suppliers
-Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and to support all program supplier quality engineering activities
-Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment and weekly reports
-Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Subcontracts (Buyers) and Government Representatives
-Additionally, candidates may be required to work in a manufacturing environment that would require standing and the use the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (protective footwear, eye /hearing protection, or other protective equipment designed to protect people from workplace hazards)
**Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic)**
Desired Skills:
-Technical degree at the Bachelor level or above from an accredited college
-Skills and experience working with suppliers that handle complex machined parts, electrical and electronic assemblies
-An understanding of the MFC SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P) business systems, optics, castings and welding and/or brazing
-ASQ Certification, i.e., (1) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) , (2) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and/or (3) Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
-Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
-Experience with source inspection, special process surveys, purchase order reviews and surveillance activities at suppliers
-Demonstrated leadership and customer relationship management skill
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
