What does this role look like?



As the Test Missile Kit 2 (TMK2) Senior Program Manager, you will be part of the Avionics Directorate and be responsible for:
• Cost, schedule, and technical commitments for the TMK2 portion of the Avionics modernization portfolio.
• FY28 proposal & Modernization Strategic Planning (MSP) inputs for TMK2 scope
• Closely partnering with the Navy Customers, Avionics TMK2 Engineering team, Tactical Avionics and other functions to effectively execute the contracted scope for TMK2
• Serve on the FBM Program Leadership Team (PLT) representing TMK2.
• Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans
• Coordinate the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of Engineering Test projects within the area of assigned responsibility
• Ensure Engineering is coordinated across Program and suppliers

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in either Denver, CO , or Titusville, FL. , and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent experience/combined education,
• Prior program management experience,
• Prior direct customer interface experience,
• Prior DoD or Federal Government programs experience,
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Bachelor's, or higher, degree (STEM: electrical engineering field or technical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education,
• Ideal candidate will have 7+ years of Program Management experience, and leading a team in meeting cost, schedule, and technical objectives,
• Prior Avionics experience with focus on design and manufacturing of electronics and handling obsolescence issues,
• Experience working with Subcontracts organization in managing a large group of suppliers,
• Experience working with Contracts organization in managing contractual modifications as needed,
• Demonstrated experience of managing large, complex development program and strong risk and opportunity management background,
• Prior FBM experience and ability to work with Various Navy stakeholders on future program dependencies and driving issues to closure,
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change,
• Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope,
• Previous CAM (Control Account Management) experience and Lockheed Martin Earned Value Management, FBM Staffing dashboard and VEMO Tools,
• Experience throughout the engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, and operational deployment),
• Experience in Business Rhythm creation and management experience,
• Excellent presentation abilities,
• Excellent organizational skills,

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
