Description:This position is with the Lockheed Martin Corporate Government Affairs in Arlington, VA supporting corporate initiatives related to the U.S. Army Aviation and the Special Operations Aviation portfolio. Responsible for government relations in the Washington DC area related to Army and SOF Aviation Programs in support of LM Business Areas and Lines of Business. Advisor to the LMGA Army Aviation Director, Army/SOF VP and Business Areas on Army and SOF Aviation matters, customer relationships, cultural sensitivities, and strategic direction for Army and SOF Aviation programs. Identify new business opportunities applicable to LM and guide new business pursuit and capture activities as required/requested. Identify, establish, and build relationships with key customer decision makers. Define customer requirements and monitor the acquisition process to gain and maintain an understanding of the marketplace. As assigned, develop and implement Annual Strategic Action Plan for LMGA Army Aviation and Aviation-delivered weapons and launched-effects programs. Participate in LM new business pursuits and capture efforts. Facilitate, arrange, and manage Washington based Army and SOF customer interfaces related to Army and SOF Aviation programs. Ensure LM provides a coordinated message on all Army Aviation related programs and capabilities with customers, partners and technology organizations via key customer meetings, position papers and presentations. Advises the Army/SOF VP on Aviation-related consultant contracts and performance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Recent experience on the Headquarters Department of the Army, Joint, or OSD staffs and experience in working with the Army Aviation or Army SOF Aviation communities.

Significant knowledge of Army and/or Army SOF Aviation requirements.

-Familiarity with DoD and Army budget and acquisition policies and processes.

-Familiarity with U.S. Army Futures Command, ASA(ALT), and the COCOMs/Joint Staff in operational needs requirements (ONS/JUONS) and Integrated Priority Lists (IPLs).

-Successful track record in roles that interact and counsel senior professionals and influence key stakeholders

-Demonstrate success in managing initiatives and actions in ambiguous, fast-moving, complex, cross-functional team environments

-Ability to understand and interpret customer needs and requirements and translate to opportunities

-Demonstrated ability to be a senior level strategist and thought leader; provide sound business advice to key leadership stakeholders within the organization

-Strong organizational, planning and time management skills

-Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
Current experience with the Army Futures Command, ASA(ALT), or PEO Aviation.

Exceptional oral and written communications skills

Strong presentation skills and ability to address complex matters/solutions with senior leadership.

Able to work with limited guidance and deal with ambiguity.

Advanced degree in business, finance or engineering. Extensive knowledge of the Army PPBE and/or acquisition policies and processes

Knowledge and understanding of Army National Guard requirements, policies, and processes.

Top Secret Clearance Preferred
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
