Job Responsibilities
Description:Plan methods, operations and sequences of assigned work; draw correct conclusions from limited technical data or instruction, and make engineer-approved changes.
Work from sketches, drawings, wiring diagrams, manufacturer's specifications, or other written and technical data, whether complete or incomplete. Work from oral instructions for the purposes of assignments and directions. Review test procedures, and make appropriate recommendations, as needed.
Determine routing, location and method of installing wire, signal control, coax and fiber optic cables (normally originating from AC wall outlet to equipment), and communications circuits for electronic systems, fixtures and accessories. Layout, fabricate, construct, install and assemble chassis, panels and equipment enclosures.
Install and maintain security systems.
May be required to maintain certification in propellant protective equipment i.e. (SCAPE).
Operate, test, troubleshoot, isolate problems and repair failed components, electronic systems and equipment including but not limited to: electronic security systems, computer controlled environmental systems; video systems such as cameras, television and VCR's; CCTV control and distribution systems; non-facility UPS systems (including battery maintenance); audio and sound masking systems; biometric control systems; antennas and transponders, telecommunications systems such as modems, multiplexors and data encrypters; microwave and radio systems; telemetry and guidance; microprocessors, computers and related systems.
Operate and maintain Vehicle/AGE (Aerospace Ground Equipment) monitoring equipment; Monitor control systems supporting launch facility operations.
Install and connect pyro devices, wire panels, circuits, ignitors and other actuated devices.
Operate meters for bonding checks of mechanical components and panel installation.
May work with or assist mechanics in other fields of specialization as required by performing work up to the level of difficulty described herein.
Evaluate and modify entire prototype electronic and electrical systems for integration to the above systems. Perform minor maintenance and upkeep for the prevention of corrosion on surfaces while performing authorized modification, repair or installation of replacement parts.
Basic Qualifications:
• Operate, test, troubleshoot, isolate problems and repair failed components, electronic systems and equipment.
• Operate and maintain Vehicle/AGE (Aerospace Ground Equipment) monitoring equipment; Monitor control systems supporting launch facility operations.
• Evaluate and modify entire prototype electronic and electrical systems for integration to the above systems.
• Complete knowledge of electronic theory, operating principles and competent skills and experience with digital systems and their communication protocol.
• Understanding of digital to analog signal conversion. Proficiency on fiber optic termination and data processing equipment.
• Must have the ability to work at various heights on gantries, towers and poles; to work in confined areas.
• Ability to use tools and equipment to perform work described herein. Recertification in the use of these tools and equipment is required to retain this job classification.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to use computer systems.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
The base range for this position in California is $29.16 - $52.29.
