Description:You will be the Energetics Sr Manager for our SRM Product Center team. Our team is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our brand new Energetics Lab in Troy, AL, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards in the development of energetic materials.
What You Will Be Doing
The Lab Senior Manager will oversee all laboratory
activities, ensure the highest quality and safety standards, and manage the day-to-day operations of
the lab. They will also be responsible for training and mentoring lab engineers, chemists, and
technicians, developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and collaborating
with engineers, scientists, and other lab staff to design and implement experiments, analyze data, and
troubleshoot issues. Responsibilities:
• Oversee all laboratory activities and ensure compliance withsafety regulations and procedures
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the labs, including
scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting. Ability to prioritize and deconflict multiple tasks from
multiple groups. Be a single Point of Contact for the activities in the Energetics Lab when working with
site Operations
• Train, mentor, and supervise lab engineers, chemists, and technicians, providing
guidance and feedback to ensure their success
• Develop and implement Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs) and ensure that all lab activities are performed in accordance with these procedures
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training and development opportunities for lab
employees
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and other lab staff to design and implement experiments, analyze data, and troubleshoot issues
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment,
including mixers, to ensure accurate and reliable measurements
• Document all experimental data,
observations, and results in a clear and concise manner, and prepare technical reports as needed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in the field of energetic materials and mixer
technology
• Ensure that all laboratory activities are performed in a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Manage inventory of lab supplies, ensuring that materials are properly stored and within their expiration dates
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new lab methods and procedures

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, materials science, or a related field)
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
• Proven experience as a Lab Technician or similar role in a laboratory setting, with experience in energetic materials preferred
• Experience in the field of Energetics
•Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a proven track record of managing and mentoring engineers, chemists, and lab technicians
• In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for handling and testing energetic materials • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen
attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate\\effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory
information management systems (LIMS)
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulations,
including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
• Ability to work independently and
manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• Flexibilityto work in shifts or on weekends, as required
• Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

• Master's degree in a relevant
field
• Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or medical
devices)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
