Job Responsibilities
Description:IAM Hourly represented employees who currently work at the main (Sunnyvale/Palo Alto) unit, Santa Cruz, VAFB or Eastern Range facilities must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to be considered for the position.
Check Purchase Requests against requirements documents to validate material requirements. Prepare appropriate material acquisition documents, schedule the volume of incoming material, reconcile inventory records including submittal of Material Records Adjustments when appropriate, disposition obsolete and excess materials, and prepare reports.
Compute raw material and/or purchased part requirements by model or contract from bill of material and/or usage figures. Schedule the volume of incoming material in accordance with predetermined need dates to meet established manufacturing and spares requirements considering storage and handling facilities, and procurement price breaks with the objective of maintaining sufficient stocks for productive use while maintaining minimum inventory investment.
Schedule material increments determined from manufacturing schedules, material analysis input or usage forecasts. Furnish supplier schedule data as necessary to supplement material analysis inputs to DCC/FAMSCO schedule negotiations.
Check Purchase Request and purchase order revision documents for completeness and compliance with Requirements Master File and proper disposition; prepare or direct preparation of purchase order revisions, purchase requests and shop order requests for raw material and purchase parts, indicating proper description, specification, contract, account number, terminal routing, schedule, and special instructions on the documents.
Prepare or initiate preparation of return-to-stores documents. Follow-up on processing of returns to inventory. Prepare or direct preparation of adjustments to computer-maintained material records. Authorize the temporary fabrication of purchased parts when advised that part cannot be purchased in a timely manner; determine need for and authorize rework or replacement of purchased parts or materials due to engineering changes, Lost-in-Shop, inventory count adjustments and authorized work-in-process rejections.
Release selected materials, allocating among contracts and work orders in accordance with production schedules. Determine availability of material for non-standard or short-span requirements.
Authorize or request transfer between inventories to ensure efficient utilization of materials and minimize surplus potential. Maintain records of shortages and of follow-up information.
Survey records and disposition obsolete and excess raw materials and purchased parts, apportioning to contracts as appropriate. Determine and apply proper surplus cause codes as required. Ensure coordination of potential utilization of materials prior to disposition . Operate office machines necessary to perform the above-mentioned work.
Active Top Secret/SCI Security clearance
Basic Qualifications:
A working knowledge of planning systems and the fundamental operating principles of the Automatic Data Acquisition (ADA) Inventory System, plus an understanding of the basic requirements and relationships of complimentary Material Computer Systems.
Familiarity with the various reports and records which are generated by the computer to
update and systematically control and evaluate the applicable inventory account
records.
Knowledge of classes, types, and specifications of raw material and purchased parts,
and manufacturing operating requirements from a material standpoint; Company financial and cost accounting systems; Company storage, handling and shortage control systems and facilities; raw material and purchased parts acquisition methods.
Understand and be able to apply commercial arithmetic and scheduling practice.
Working knowledge of engineering documents.
Must have an active Top Secret/SCI Security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Basic computer skills including use of MS Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to stock inventory, which includes light duty physical labor and computer logging/tracking of items.
• Proficient in use of SAP, P2P, AR, & Excel

requests.
• Prepare appropriate material acquisition documents, schedule the volume of incoming material, and reconcile inventory records.
• Track inventory and order supplies per min/max requirements.
• Research material specifications and place orders which satisfy price and timeliness requirements.
• Maintain stockroom supplies and distribute materials as requested. Good organizational skills.
• Work extended hours when needed including weekends.
• Practical knowledge of Inventory and Tracking systems

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
The base range for this position in California is $24.48 - $45.22.
