Lockheed Martin Corporation's Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) business is in search of an astute entry level professional to join our team. Position responsibilities performed under general supervision to complete milestones associated with specific projects:

Perform activities related to the Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA) aspects of the products and systems developed in RMS.

Specific efforts can include:
• Interface with system and element design engineers to identify RMA shortfalls in system level analysis/design and aircraft level predictions as applicable
• Perform Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) predictions and allocations for equipment and systems using standard R&M tools
• Prepare system, element, and equipment R&M specifications from top-level requirements.
• Interpret statistical data derived from failure reporting programs and reliability demonstrations.
• Identify RMA problems, conducting physics of failure analysis and evaluating proposed corrective actions.
• Perform Failure Reporting and Corrective Action activities (FRACAS).
•Actively engage with system design engineers in the development of new designs/configurations.
• Support development of high availability architectures for complex systems including helicopter and other aviation platforms.
•Participate in system/element design reviews, presentations, and meetings with customer and with other contractors.
• Acquire and integrate unit level RMA data into reliability block diagrams and mathematical models to project system level RMA characteristics.
• Conduct R&M testing and statistical evaluation of test data.
• Review equipment failure data, identify RMA problems and assess corrective action (FRACAS).
• Execute Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analyses (FMECA and Fault Tree Analyses.
• Prepare formal reports and presentations to customers describing the results of the analyses and assessments.
• Interface with various program offices/customer and be responsible for leading a complete job.
• Complete predictions and be able to discuss R&M areas of improvements with design engineers.
• Support sparing and logistics analysis based on system architectures, reliability predictions, and deployment profiles.
• Partner with system design team and develop RMA system model.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in electrical, aerospace, mechanical, or industrial engineering; math; physics; computer science; or equivalent degree
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Ability to obtain a security clearance is desired, but not required to start work. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
• Prior coursework or relevant experience in reliability/maintainability/availability analysis

• Aviation maintenance or operations experience (military or civil) a plus, not required

• Data analysis, analytics, reporting; experience with Tableau, MiniTab (or similar) desired, not required
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
