Our Subcontract Management team ensures the program’s success by collaborating with suppliers, internal teams, and government customers to deliver these cutting-edge systems on time and within budget. As part of our commitment to excellence, we're seeking a talented Program Management – Sr. Subcontract Manager to join our team and drive success in our Marine Corps Systems (MCS) line of business.
THE WORK
As a Program Management – Sr Subcontract Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing a dedicated team within the CH-53K Major Structures Supply Chain team. Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading and managing a team of procurement professionals to ensure supplier cost, schedule, and technical performance align with project requirements.
• Overseeing the issuance of Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Purchase Orders (PO), and conducting all aspects of negotiations to optimize supplier agreements.
• Proactively identifying risks/opportunities and developing robust action plans to ensure mitigation or success.
• Identifying and qualifying second source suppliers to enhance supply chain resilience.
• Providing valuable support during prime proposal processes and aligning supplier expectations with program needs.
• Travel of 50% may be required for this role.
WHO WE ARE
You're a seasoned professional with a passion for program management and subcontractor oversight within the defense or aerospace industry. You possess:
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in program management and subcontractor oversight, with strong leadership and communication skills.
• understanding of FAR/DFARS and government contracts
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• A keen attention to detail and the ability to identify risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with DOD contracting regulations and procurement processes is highly desirable.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience leading a large and diverse team
• Ensure the procurement teams compliance of procurement packages to established procedures
Working knowledge of FAR and DFAR requirements
• Experience developing supplier relationship management including Development and implementation of RCCA plans for significant supplier issues and low performing suppliers
Desired Skills:
• Proficiently utilize SAP
• Cost account management (CAM) certification
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
• Strong background in aerospace/defense technical requirements
• Working knowledge of Sikorsky product, drawings/technical data, manufacturing processes, especially related to mechanical Flight Controls
• Experience in finance, cost/price analysis, schedule analysis, budgeting, and negotiations
• Related Supply Chain certifications
• Experience engaging and driving key support functions
within the SMT/IPT structure to achieve critical program initiatives across multiple contracts.
• Experience managing Procurement metrics, including: Supplier MRP/On-Time Delivery, Purchase Price Variance, Purchase Requisition placement, Contract Overspend/NTE performance, Cost of Poor Quality and Monthly Sales goals
• Experience managing key supplier negotiations of cost, terms and conditions, development Statements of Work, and long-term agreements. Control costs, manage cost avoidance and perform price analysis as required
• Experience with the import and export of technical data, hardware, software, and qualification artifacts in full compliance with export license regulations

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
