Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Electrical Engineering Intern. In this role, you will covers field or research and development of electrical drives and power electronics equipment. Work will be done through building, implementing, modeling, simulation and testing in laboratory conditions. In addition to software there will be a need for candidates to take on tasks of designing digital and analog hardware, power structures of converters and test setups in laboratories. Work will be performed within a smaller autonomous group in a highly dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of technical skills, interpersonal skills, and personal initiative and will be accomplished while working under the immediate direction of a supervisor/mentor. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Must have completed a power electronics course
- Knowledge of power electronics, electrical machines and signal level analog and digital circuit - PC board design
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
- Hands on knowledge of electrical drives and control
- Knowledge of modeling and simulation tools and ability to develop control algorithms, familiarity with model-based design for rapid prototyping and testing algorithms in laboratory and real object systems
- Strong “hands on” mechanical aptitude
- Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
