Our Material Planning team plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials to support our manufacturing processes and production goals. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Material Planner to join our team and contribute to the seamless execution of our supply chain operations.
THE WORK
As a Material Planner at Sikorsky, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination, requisitioning, and storage of materials, supplies, and equipment essential for production. Your key responsibilities will include:
Planning and managing material requirements based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
Ensuring the timely receipt, storage, and distribution of materials within the manufacturing environment.
Coordinating with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Monitoring inventory levels and collaborating with warehouse teams to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Working closely with production and procurement teams to address any material-related issues that could impact timelines.
Developing and maintaining material flow processes to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
Ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards in material handling.

WHO YOU ARE
We’re looking for a Material Planner who is:
Experienced in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain coordination, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Familiar with ERP systems, inventory management software, and supply chain logistics.
Able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and suppliers.
Knowledgeable about safety standards and best practices in material handling and storage.

Proficient in Excel & Power Point
Project Management Skills
Excellent analytical and data analysis skills
Good communication skills and able to work with different levels of the organization
Manufacturing/Shipping background and able to work in a manufacturing environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
