Description:Join our Lockheed Martin, Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team as we are pioneers of high-performance air and missile defense, air-to-air, precision fires, close combat, sustainment, sensors, strike system and energy storage solutions to provide our war fighting and civilian customers the products and services they need in their defining moments.

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Quality Engineer for a position in Orlando, FL to develop and maintain Systems and Software Quality Engineering common processes that are aligned with AS9100 Quality Management System, Program and Customer requirements. The Software Quality Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develops, modifies and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products.

Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives; designs and implements software development and maintenance processes.

Defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to systems / software processes.

Designs, specifies and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification and validation.

Evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction; ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards.

Performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and / or process requirements.

Reviews requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.

Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.

Interfaces with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers.

Candidate must work well in a team environment, have excellent customer interface skills, and is expected to quickly come up to speed with the program work scopes, technical requirements, program risks, and delivery milestone schedule.

Travel may be required to support program activities.
Basic Qualifications:
-STEM degree at the bachelor level or above preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education

-Experience with product development phases

-Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques
Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design / Development, Product Integration and Test Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex

-Ability to interpret software design and code (ADA / C / C++) to verify implementation of requirements

-Test equipment hardware knowledge or background skills

-Effective communication skills – written, oral, listening, presentation, technical writing

-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

-Presentation ad problem-solving skills

-Ability to travel
Desired Skills:
-STEM degree at the bachelor level or above preferred

-Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)

-Hands on experience with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SaFE, etc.)

-Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems / Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001)

-Experience interfacing with Government customers and stakeholders

-Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 6 years.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
