Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Orlando, FL is seeking a motivated System and Software Quality Engineer.

MFC is a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for US and allied militaries.

Quality Engineering is seeking candidates to solve complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions that provide the best product for our customers, both domestically and internationally. System and Software Quality Engineers (SSQE) at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control act as an integrated member of the design and production teams supporting System Engineering, Software Engineering, Test Engineering and Software Suppliers. They perform process and product assessments, review requirements, hardware and software design, code and documentation. A SSQE develops, modifies, applies and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures. Conducts software inspection, testing, verification and validation. Implements software development and maintenance processes and methods.

To ensure our customer gets the highest level of Quality, our System and Software Quality Engineers review contracts, customer requirements, flow down requirements to suppliers and witness testing events to ensure requirements are fulfilled. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives. Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract. Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.

As a vital member of the team, a System and Software Quality Engineer at Missiles and Fire Control uses Industry recognized Quality systems such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulation to ensure quality products are produced.

Basic Qualifications:
STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering.

Ability to understand software design and source code (ADA / C / C++) to verify correct implementation of requirements.

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening, presentation and technical writing.

Secret Clearance.

Ability to Travel.
Desired Skills:
Lab/Test equipment hardware knowledge or background skills.

Hands-on experience with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)

Familiar with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and Gitlab.

Familiar with automated test system platforms (NI TestStand, NI LabVIEW, SystemLink).

Familiar with Lean / Six Sigma practices.

Basic understanding of electro-mechanical engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) with the ability to inspect drawings for compliance.

Basic understanding of auditing techniques.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
