Description:Our Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control Business Area in Orlando, Florida is seeking candidates for a role focused on High Performance Computing (HPC) and using supercomputing technologies to build the next generation of modeling & simulation capabilities. You will support dozens of clusters across thousands of servers (compute nodes) and tens of thousands of CPU cores.

This position has high customer engagement and will work with engineers, developers, and scientists across multiple departments to enable their applications for HPC. This involves working closely with both cluster users and IT Systems Engineers to design and build scalable HPC architecture, tool sets, and supporting infrastructure to meet engineering requirements.

Programming and scripting are a large component of this position, and you will be given the opportunity to grow your skills across multiple languages. You will benchmark and optimize hardware, fabric, software, storage, and other tunable components to maximize the performance and efficiency of applications on the HPC systems. This will include extensive low-level troubleshooting and manipulation of code and tools to identify solutions across a diverse set of problem areas.

In addition to working with cluster users and IT engineers, you will work with senior program management to ensure that HPC capabilities align with overall business strategy and demands by providing metrics and forecasting. The candidate will not only educate the engineering community on the capabilities that HPC can provide, but also train users one-on-one to develop code and scripts for HPC execution.

Candidates may be involved in special projects such as multi-level security (MLS) for HPC, big data analytics, DevSecOps CI/CD integration, Machine Learning (ML), and Hybrid Cloud.

You should be passionate about learning and growing the skills needed.

Candidates may come from a diverse background in science and/or engineering such as computer, chemical, biology, electrical, mechanical, mathematics, aeronautical, or other disciplines.

Basic Qualifications:
• Active Secret security clearance investigated w/in the last 5 years.

• Knowledge and experience with operation and troubleshooting of Linux.

• Experience in one or more scripting or programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, MATLAB, Perl, etc.

• Demonstrated experience in leveraging state-of-the-art solutions for programs.

• Demonstrated experience developing effective stakeholder and partner relationships.

• Demonstrated experience effectively performing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Demonstrated ability to work through technical, project, operational, and resource challenges.

• Proven business acumen to manage multiple assignments and projects with the ability to balance technical requirements with business needs and affordability.

• Demonstrated collaboration and teaming skills at all levels of the organization.

• Strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills to provide customer support and support to the team.
Desired Skills:
• Active Top Secret security clearance (investigation within the past 6 years)

• Experience with containers and orchestration, especially in HPC applications using Singularity, Docker, Shifter, Kubernetes etc.

• Scripting ability to support system administration (Ansible, Python, BASH, Perl, Batch, VBScript, PowerShell, etc.)

• Experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) with demonstrated technical knowledge.

• Intuitive thinker that can develop, script, and experiment to contrive and implement new solutions to technical problems.

• Preference for designing, building, scripting, and documenting new environments from the ground-up.

• Extensive experience working in Linux Environments (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, SuSE, etc).

• Understanding of routing/switching networking concepts.

• Understanding of virtualization infrastructure such as VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, etc.

• Understanding of NAS/SAN/PFS storage systems and related networking.

• Experience with Parallel File Systems (PFS) such as Lustre or GPFS/Spectrum Scale.

• Experience with workload managers such as PBS Pro, SLURM, Torque, Oracle Grid Engine, etc.

• Experience with cluster management utilities such as xCAT, Warewulf, Bright Cluster Manager, etc.

• Prefer Security+, CISSP, or other IAT Level II/III security certification.

• Knowledge/Experience with Multi-Level Security (MLS) or Multi-Category Security (MCS) solutions.

• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD
pipelines and software version control such as Git.

• Experience in a science or engineering discipline and software or computing unique to their fields.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
