Job Responsibilities
Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking an individual to support Reliability, Maintainability, and Testability activities for the F-35 Electro-Optical Targeting System (EOTS) Program. EOTS for the F-35 Lightning II is an affordable, high-performance, lightweight, multi-function system that provides precision air-to-air and air-to-surface targeting capability. This is a Reliability Engineering position that will provide Failure Review and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Sustainment, and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) support to the EOTS Program. This role will focus heavily on leveraging and analyzing production data and field data to quantify performance and drive meaningful reliability, maintainability and testability improvements to the system design and production processes through a Design for Sustainment mindset.
What You Will Be Doing
Typical duties include:
• Leading FRACAS efforts for the EOTS program to identify and prioritize failure modes and trends
• Score Field Failures for each Line Replaceable Components (LRCS)
• Recognize opportunities for improvement based on failure data, sustainment costs, and support the development and implementation of system design improvements.
• Manage the failure investigation of failure trends to identify root cause, corrective action, and implementation of the corrective action to improve field performance.
• Assess the effectiveness of incorporated corrective actions.
• Interface with the Reliability Engineering Team, Depot Team, and Program Management to convey failure trends and the status of failure investigations.
• Manage FRACAS database functionality
• Support customer operation hours reconciliation and depot repairs reconciliation.
• Generate and submit monthly FRACAS reports to customer
• Perform Reliability Growth Modeling and assessments on system hardware based on hardware field performance data
• Developing, coordinating and conducting technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments constructs.
• Interfacing with multi-disciplined / cross-functional teams to influence design for Reliability, Maintainability, and Testability.
• Participating in detailed design activities, technical interchange meetings, program reviews, and supplier support.
• Participate in Corrective Action Boards (CAB), Failure Review Boards (FRB), and Yield Improvement Team (YIT).
• Review of Specifications, Drawings, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and supporting Concept Screening Board (CSB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB).
• Additional responsibilities may include reliability predictions, mission reliability modeling, maintainability analysis, and other ad-hoc analysis supporting domestic and international customers.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering) or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Previous experience in Reliability Engineering, Maintainability, and Supportability design practices.
• Prior experience with reliability FRACAS and driving failure investigations to root cause and corrective action as well as experience in at least three of the following areas
o Reliability Statistical Analysis and statistical methods used within Reliability and Maintainability Engineering
o MIL-HBK-217 Reliability Prediction Analysis using Windchill Quality Solutions (WQS)/Relex or similar Software.
o MIL-STD-1629 Reliability FMECA Process/Analysis including a general understanding of circuit design and schematics.
o BIT Development and BIT Effectivity Analysis
o Reliability Testing (HALT, Accelerated Aging, Accelerated Life Testing, Highly Accelerated Stress Screening, etc)
o Manufacturing Environmental Screening design and best practices (Familiarity with MIL-HBK-344 and MIL-HDBK-2164)
• Strong Computer Skills including MS Office.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team.
• Strong interpersonal communication, planning, and writing skills.
• Ability to adapt to an up-tempo work environment, motivated, and result-oriented.
Desired Skills:
• Active Secret Clearance with an investigation in the last 5 years
• Strong electrical background with a good mechanical understanding.
• Data Analytics Experience/Background.
• Experience implementing and Using Tableau to analyze data, identify tends, and generate dashboards and metrics, .
• Experience with Weibull, Reliability Growth, Reliability Predictions and other statistical analysis
• Experience using WQS/RELEX.
• Experience with Military sensor systems
• Experience presenting findings to customers and management.
• Electronic/Electromechanical testing and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of engineering drawings/schematics, mechanical, and electronic.
• Understanding of requirements conforming to current industrial/military standards.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
