Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Administrator to support Modeling, Simulation, and Training at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N) at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing system support and integration of Threat Modeling and Analysis Program (TMAP) data in order to ensure optimal performance within JSE at the JITTC-N.

The Systems Administrator will maintain continuous updating and integration of TMAP data to ensure effective and relevant support of missions and the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) is operating at optimal performance levels.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

• Installing, updating, and maintaining TMAP data within the JSE enclave, as well as performing configuration management and troubleshooting of systems, which may be physical, virtual, or server-based.
• Optimizing system operation and resource utilization, and performing system capacity analysis and planning to ensure the JSE operates at optimal performance levels.
• Assisting users in accessing and utilizing systems, and interacting with users to evaluate vendor products and provide recommendations for purchasing hardware and software.
• Coordinating the installation of new and upgraded software and hardware, as well as providing fail-safe and backup systems, and developing policies and standards for allocations related to the use of available computing resources.
• Adhering to best practices in securely storing, backing up, and archiving data, and enforcing information security best practices and procedures, particularly when working with multi-level secure environments.
• Maintaining vigilance to protect sensitive systems and data across classified enclaves, and documenting processes related to database design, configuration, and performance.

Basic Qualifications:
• A current active Secret Level Clearance with an investigation completed within the last five years is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI and relevant SAP/SAR Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, OR equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with TMAP data and programs within the simulator environment.
• Experience with JSE components, including NGTS, GRID, and peripheral applications such as platform editors and parametric editors.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software contexts, including integration with diverse display solutions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of network administration principles as they apply to simulator systems.
• Proficiency in performing configuration management and collaborating with other configuration managers.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing complex systems in a high-stakes environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to write processes for simulator technicians and engineers, produce and maintain technical documents and procedures, and create and maintain data logging procedures and reports.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adherence to information security best practices, with the ability to identify and resolve security-related issues.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other software.
Desired Skills:
• Active or current DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• Experience in Joint Simulation Environment (JSE), preferably as a Systems Administrator.
• Previous experience with operating and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Experience in software design, testing, and implementation within DoD flight simulators.
• Experience contributing to the system design or architecture of new and current systems.
• Experience with Agile software development practices.
• Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) efforts.
• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Degrees in Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics may qualify with at least one year of C++ and/or Python programming experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
