Our Mobility and Distributed Training Solutions (MDTS) sub-market segment, within Air and Commercial Solutions (ACS), supports the Air Force Special Operations Command Air Commando Training Support (AFSOC ACTS)/ACTS II Program by providing advanced simulator modifications and training capabilities.
THE WORK
As a Program Manager, you will lead multiple simulator modification projects supporting AFSOC ACTS/ACTS II. You will oversee the execution of all phases of the project life cycle, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives are met. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality training solutions.
Overseeing EVM baseline creation, execution, and business rhythm for assigned modifications.
Acting as the primary customer liaison, ensuring alignment with AFSOC ACTS/ACTS II requirements.
Driving risk and opportunity management to optimize project outcomes.
Collaborating with other program managers and functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
Leading proposal development, contract negotiations, and execution of modifications.
Providing status updates and reports to internal leadership and external customers.

Program or project management experience, preferably in defense or aerospace.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience managing Firm Fixed Price contracts
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Control Account Management (CAM)
Experience leading Cross Functional teams
Ability to effectively brief senior leaders, both internal LM and external customers
Experience building effective internal and external customer relationships
Current Secret Security Clearance (minimum)
Willing and able to travel (25%), as required
Desired Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of Program, Subcontract Program, or Engineering Project Management Experience
Understanding and/or management of training systems development, production, modifications, and sustainment
Knowledge of the requirements analysis, design, development and testing processes relevant to all training media types ranging from courseware to high-fidelity simulators
C-130J and or CV-22 Program Experience
Control Account Management (CAM) Certification
Experience working with simulators
Experience in agile methodologies
Experience managing programs with large (and multiple) subcontractor content
Experience with LM RMS Proposal Development Process and tools
Experience with USAF customers
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
