Description:THE WORK
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to lead the Quality organization as a Radar Systems & Sensor Quality Senior Manager, with a dual role as the Syracuse Quality Site Lead. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for shaping the future of the organization and driving quality excellence across all aspects of the business.
The dual role aspect of this position balances the needs of the Radar Systems & Sensor Quality team with the broader needs of the Syracuse site. As the Syracuse Quality Site Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that all quality teams within the site are working together, sharing best practices, identifying systemic trends and collaborating as one Syracuse Quality Team.

This position will report to the IWSS Quality Director and work closely with the C6ISR Quality Director.
Leading the Market Segment Quality organization includes integrating Program Quality, Production Quality, Engineering Quality and Inspection. This includes implementing strategies related to: flow-down and execution of Contract Quality requirements, functional Quality support to all programs within the market segment throughout the program life cycle (proposals through production and sustainment); identification and implementation of activities that support transformation; and ensuring the Quality Program Team model is executed on all programs.
The candidate will also provide leadership through identification and implementation of process improvement efforts, particularly those that are site specific. This includes collaboration cross-functional, cross-site and cross-LOB to set priority and align resources in support of RMS Quality initiatives including, but not limited to: Root Cause Analysis, Engineering Quality including Systems, Software, and Hardware Quality Engineering, Data Analytics, and Design & Development.
As a senior functional leader, this role is accountable for establishing, performing to annual budgets, headcount planning, capital expenditure requests, Quality metrics, employee growth and development, employee performance and training requirements.
Scope:
- Employee Population: This position is directly responsible for leadership to a team of approximately 15 employees across multiple sites, including, but not limited to Syracuse NY, and Moorestown NJ. In addition, as the Syracuse Quality Site Lead, this position will have dotted line responsibility for approximately 110 Quality professionals as part of the larger Quality team supporting Syracuse, NY.
- Travel: This role requires travel to support RSS programs across the portfolio, primarily Moorestown, NJ.
- Primary Customers/External Interaction: Key interface and establishment of effective partnerships with all corresponding Customer Oversight Agencies (i.e. DCMA, DoD Customer, etc.), Market Segment VPs, Syracuse Site GM, Program Directors and cross-functional counterparts.
- Cross-LOB or Functional Partnerships/Touchpoints: Primary interface with IWSS LOB, Key interface with RMS Quality leadership, C6 Quality Leaders, Production Operations, Engineering
Basic Qualifications:
Experienced leader with a minimum of 15 years in various Quality, Operations and / or Program Management positions with increasing responsibility.
Extensive knowledge of DoD contract requirements and Program Quality management.
Demonstrated track record of working with multiple customers and forming strong internal and external customer relationships.
Ability to balance teaming and flexibility while maintaining independence and ensuring process adherence.
Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills and ability to drive change drive a culture of one quality team across the site.
Experience building a strong team of direct and matrixed employees with the ability to give, receive and act on critical feedback.
Strong working knowledge of problem solving/root cause analysis and process management.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities and provide succinct direction in a dynamic business environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills including the ability to interface effectively with executive leadership on strategic and tactical problems affecting the quality of products delivered.
Experience in implementing and maintaining AS9100-certified Quality Management Systems.
Engineering Quality Experience.
Experience in implementing Advanced Quality or Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $140,400 - $269,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $161,500 - $304,300.
