At Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business, we are dedicated to advancing the defense and aerospace industry. We work on cutting-edge projects to provide our customers with innovative solutions. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a highly motivated Program Manager (PM) to join our team in Syracuse, NY, to support the Stinger Fuze program within the C6ISR Undersea Warfare (USW) line of business.

THE WORK

In this leadership role, you will coordinate with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering—to ensure the Stinger Fuze program meets its contractual and business objectives. As the primary interface to the government Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), you’ll ensure consistent communication with customer offices while balancing customer needs with long-term strategic planning for future business growth. You’ll be responsible for managing the program’s technical, cost, and delivery targets while ensuring efficiency in execution. Key areas of focus include:
Leading full rate production programs and system qualifications.
Transitioning from development to steady-state production.
Overseeing proposal efforts for new program scope.
Collaborating with business development teams to secure future business opportunities.

WHO YOU ARE

You are an experienced Program Manager with a proven track record of leading complex defense programs. You bring leadership skills and experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to achieve objectives while balancing customer needs and business priorities. You excel in creating clear, strategic roadmaps and executing them efficiently. Your experience includes full-rate production, system qualification, and the transition from development to steady-state production. You are also adept at managing proposals for new business scope and collaborating with business development teams.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experienced program manager
• Experience with full rate production programs
• Manage cost, schedule, and technical baselines
• Demonstrated leading multidisciplinary teams
• Capable of managing, developing, and submitting proposals
• Demonstrated strong customer relationship skills, subcontractors, and company leadership
• Certified Cost Account Manager (CAM), program scheduling or Earned Value Measurement (EVM) experience
• Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
Desired Skills:
• Experience with cost, schedule, and technical baselines for a high-volume production program
• Experience with product life cycle from development through production
• Experience with the US Army Customers
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of professional experience; or equivalent experience with a Master’s degree
• Experience with Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS)
• Experience working with difficult vendors
• Experience with hardware development programs
• Comprehensive Estimate at Completion (CEAC)
• Strong presentation and communication skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $236,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $142,100 - $267,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
