The Work
As a Cyber Systems Security Engineer Staff, you will take the lead in integrating modern cybersecurity solutions across multiple radar system programs. You will play a critical role in ensuring our systems are not only effective but also resilient in the face of evolving threats. Key responsibilities include:
Cybersecurity Design & Implementation: Lead the decomposition of Statements of Work (SOW) into actionable, cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions for radar systems. Design and oversee the implementation of critical cybersecurity features like Intrusion Detection, Digital Signature Verification, and Two-Factor Authentication.
Collaboration & Strategy Development: Work with internal and external teams to enhance Cyber Resiliency across radar programs.
Cybersecurity Leadership: Lead the effort to streamline the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and accelerate Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals.
Security Lifecycle Oversight: Oversee the development of cybersecurity artifacts, ensuring compliance with industry standards like NIST 800-53. Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ATO for radar systems and technologies.
Please note: This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a government DoD secret level clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field.
- Minimum of 7+years of relevant cyber security, systems
and/or software engineering experience.
- Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
Certification or higher (e.g. CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), etc.)
- Ability to attain Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III Certification within 12 months (e.g. ISC2 CISSP Certification, ISACA CISM Certification, etc.)
- Ability to obtain an Secret DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a Security Clearance requires US citizenship.
- Ability to travel up to 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S.
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree or higher in relevant field.
- Ability to design, implement, and oversee implementation of cyber solutions within products.
- Proficiency in customer requirements.
- Proficiency in Risk Management Framework proven via successful RMF ATO or equivalent accreditations.
- Understanding of cyber artifact solutions that could accelerate RMF process via rapid ATO approvals
- Statements of Work (SOW) decomposition into Cyber Engineering requirements – requirements modeling experience is a plus.
- Proven success with RMF ATO accreditations.
- Experience using GIT and/or JIRA/Confluence Atlassian web-based tools.
- Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies, including version control systems (e.g. Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices).
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Embedded systems with ability to develop comprehensive security solutions
- Cyber security planning and/or implementation experience of solutions such as: Intrusion Detection, Security Event Audit Log Aggregation, Two-Factor authorization, and Centralized Identity Management.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $114,100 - $218,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
