Lockheed Martin is looking for an Avionics Subsystem Manager to lead a team of Systems Engineers on FBM Modernization and Sustainment Programs.
The responsibilities of this position will include:
• Technical management
• Planning (Cost/Schedule) with oversight/responsibilities for Subsystem Engineering tasks (certain CLIN/Contract elements)
• Avionics Subsystem, Risk management board Participant
• Resource deployment/alignment for multiple Systems Engineering disciplines including Requirements/Verification, Modeling, Analysis, Reliability, Integration, Testing.
• Provide overall leadership to subordinate leaders across
• Process alignment to FBM SEIT
• Drive SRR to PDR Subsystem Systems Engineering acumen
• Coordination and participation in Independent Review Boards / teams
• Avionics Requirements & Certified Product (CPE) vetting, assignment and training in alignment with Chief Engineers office
• Avionics and RF Interface definition and coordination
• Support development activities associated with Mk7 and D5LE2
• Support digital transformation through the identification, trial and insertion of new advanced capabilities and tools
• Coordination with the program Dx and teams
• The Manager will report directly to the PSOC/Avionics Subsystem Senior Manager of Systems Engineering. The position is located in Denver Colorado. The organization is distributed between Denver Colorado and Space Coast Florida.
Basic Qualifications:
• Technical Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college.
• Technical or formal engineering leader with experience task management and delegation
• Experience as a Systems Engineering, with requirements verification, architecture & modeling, and/or systems integration
• Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and translating these strategies into daily, weekly and monthly tactical actions and tasks
• Experience generating Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and providing proposal support
• Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated knowledge of the FBM program and Trident II (D5) Reentry
• Familiar with the Avionics subsystems within the FBM program
• Experience in the design, integration and testing of Missile and Missile Weapon Systems
• Demonstrated experience with / knowledge of Avionics and Mechanical Design
• Electronics design and packaging experience
• Software design experience
• RF design experience
• Demonstrated experience leading a large problem investigation and root cause analysis effort
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and energize a diverse and geographically distributed team
• The candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate, both internally with peers and Program leadership as well as externally with customer counterparts
• The candidate must be able to multitask effectively and support ongoing technical investigations and initiatives simultaneously
• The candidate must be able to motivate a team while embracing diversity and inspiring cultural change
• The candidate must demonstrate the Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives
• It is desired the candidate has a top secret clearance
• Minimum of 10 years total experience, including 2 years demonstrated engineering leadership experience, 5 years of experience in the application of Engineering processes and disciplines, and demonstrated experience in leading a Engineering or Design organization

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
