In this RF engineering role within LM Space, you will support Global Security portfolios by performing payload analysis and initilization on world class RF Payloads. As a experienced RF Engineer, you will lead Payload Analysis efforts across systems engineering, analysis, calibration and verification across the product from capture to design to production and operationalization. You tackle the most challenging RF assignments demonstrate a detailed understanding of your payload and mission to satisfy both internal and external stakeholders. This role will work closely with other leaders and Subject Matter Experts to manage Payload Risks and Opportunities as well as leading relevant Opportunities and Studies. The selected candidate will also work closely with customers to ensure the success of payload products and milestones.

This role is contingent upon award expected Q1 2025
Basic Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance
• Degree in electrical engineering or STEM related degree/certification or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to execute major milestone reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)
• Ability to lead small technical teams across design lifecycle to produce artifacts to meet techincal specifications
• Experience with end-to-end performance and functionality of RF payloads and/or subsystems, consistent with mission needs and CONOPS
• Demonstrated success developing and executing test plans and product testing at box level up to subsystem payload integration & testing.
Desired Skills:
Ability to collaborate with the team to define payload test set hardware and software requirements to be used during factory testing.
• Prior experience as Certified Product Engineer (CPE) or equivalent role with internal or external product box delivery
• Experience performing complex RF product anomaly troubleshooting for the hardware including running FRBs, ARBs, sometimes even EMRBs and SMRTs.
• Familiar with Flight software and FPGAs Ability to develop and analyze technical requirements, performing trade studies, and allocating functions down to RF payloads, subsystems and/or components
• Experience analyzing and verifying technical requirements/functions for engineering systems
• Excellent problem solving and Troubleshooting skills
• Experience reviewing supplier/factory data results to show compliance to RF engineering requirements
• Proficiency with the development of specifications and interface definitions for digitally processed RF payloads
• Experience with defining external interfaces for antennas, active/passive RF components, receivers/transmitters, and digital processors
• Experience with certifying and selling off an RF payload or subsystem to the customer
• Ability to receive the required Training, certification to be a RSE within 6 months

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $114,100 - $218,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
