What does this role look like?
Lockheed Martin is seeking a dynamic Project Engineering Sr. to support the Reentry Development Programs as the Mk4B Deputy Program Manager in Littleton, CO. You’ll join a development program that is part of the overall FBM program with a 60+ year partnership with the US Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs office.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
As the Deputy Program Manager, you will:
• Learn side-by-side and be mentored by the Mk4B Program Manager and other Program Management within the Reentry Development Programs portfolio
• This is a knowledge transfer/retention position where you will be developed to take on this or another PM role within the portfolio
• Act as secondary contact with the Navy partners [a.k.a. customers], other DOD/DOE entities, and the NNSA (Doe’s customer) for program activities, leading program review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
• Assist in directing all phases of the Mk4B program from early development through transition to tactical production
• Coordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, and work assignments
• Be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of the Mk4B Program
• Participate in the negotiation of the prime contract and contract changes
• Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract
• Establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test
• Develop new business and/or expand the product line with the Navy partners
• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
• Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
• Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans
• Support ad hoc tasking by Program and Reentry Directorate Leadership
To be effective in this role, you will need:
• 5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's; or 3+ years of professional experience with a Master's degree.
• For this position, an active DOD Secret clearance or higher is required to be considered, thus US Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in Project Execution or Program Management (or similar role), supporting programs achieve their cost, schedule, and technical goals
• Prior leadership experience, direct or indirect
• Experience with developing executable program plans and baselines
• Experience creating presentations and presenting at customer-facing Program Reviews
• For this position, an active DOD Secret clearance or higher is required to be considered, thus US Citizenship is required.

• Experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager, responsible for cost, schedule, and technical aspects of project/program
• Excellent customer-facing presence and excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
• Experience with other DOD and/or DOE entities
• Existing knowledge and experience with Fleet Ballistic Missile programs
• Familiarity with Navy SSP customer and associated contractors NNSA, SNL, LANL
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or relevant engineering discipline
• Formal CAM (Cost Account Manager) training or experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
• Experience working with contracts greater than $10M/annual
• Active or Current TS Clearance and/or eligibility to obtain TS Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
