Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, CO is seeking an Intern for Fall 2025 for a Cyber Security Role. This path will will expose the intern to the compliance aspect of the cybersecurity field by learning and executing tasks similar to those performed by an Information Systems Security Officer. In this capacity, you will have a direct impact to national security, ultimately contributing to protecting your loved ones – this is dynamic, gratifying and impactful work!
- You will have the opportunity to engage in multiple aspects of the cyber discipline.

You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the cyber resiliency of our information systems, by creating documentation packages for authorization to operate LM systems
-Performing research, and using cybersecurity vulnerability and compliance tools to find opportunities to enhance the cyber security posture of LM systems.
- Documenting compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to address non-compliance findings in the allotted time frame.
- Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
- Auditing information systems.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of basic cybersecurity principles.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $29,598 - $64,168. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
