What does this role look like?

We are looking for a highly motivated Electronics Engineering Manager to become a member of the US Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5 Life Extension2 (D5LE2) Avionics Test Missile Kit (TMK2) team.




Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• Lead the development of the TMK2 Common Subsystem (CMN) for the weapons system with an emphasis on the development and design of Missile cables, electronics enclosures and electronics power subsystems.
• Provide leadership on a fast paced team from requirements through development and production.
• Be responsible to assure coordination between functional groups during the product development life cycle.
• Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
• Conducting personnel management for a portion of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Electronics team
• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training.
• Responsible for performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Participate in technical reviews and audits.




Typical mins for this role:

• You will typically have 10+ years of professional experience.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
• Mechanical and Electronics hardware design, development and test experience of avionics electronics, at the circuit card and unit level.
• Project leadership in electronics hardware design.

• Experience in the development including product ownership responsibility for missile, space, or equivalent high reliability applications.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with the development of Missile Mechanical hardware including Cables and Electronics enclosures, as well as, electronics power subsystems inclusive of Battery systems
• Experience in cost account management (CAM) – cost, schedule and risk/opportunity management
• Experience working with Electronics suppliers.
• Demonstrated experience with Avionics Architecture (physical / functional).
• Understanding of analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
• Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics.
• Experience with Test and Measurement Equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Aerospace experience supporting development of Flight Hardware.
• Certified Product Engineer or Responsible Systems Integration engineering experience.
• Missile System design experience.
• Supply chain technical oversight experience including proposal support and technical evaluations.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications skills are required, with an ability to address diverse audiences, such as customer reviews, management meetings, etc.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
