This Enterprise Operations (EO) position supports the Lockheed Martin Space division and will be located in Denver, CO. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing support to the critical Programs that the Special Programs Division are responsible for.

This Systems Engineer – IT role will focus on DevSecOps, and will focus on building, maintaining, and securing our cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will be a key player in embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. This position requires a strong understanding of both development and operations principles, along with a deep commitment to security best practices.
In this position the chosen candidate will utilize their Application Administrative skills across programs and servers keeping in mind cyber security concerns. The candidate should have expertise in developing, deploying, and sustaining in-house/COTS applications in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, high-energy environment. The candidate will participate in the entire application deployment life cycle including
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Automate the deployment and configuration of secure infrastructure and applications using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement and manage security tools and processes for vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and security auditing within the CI/CD pipeline.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including secure coding guidelines and static/dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST).
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, JSIG).
• Continuously evaluate and improve the security posture of our systems and applications by researching and implementing new security technologies and methodologies.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance prior to start (U.S. Citizenship required for access to the work facility)
• Currently has and maintaining Security+ certification or better
• Significant Systems Engineering and DevSecOps experience working within infrastructure environments (compute, storage, network, database) with traditional or private cloud-based tools.
• Ability to problem solve & to learn technical skills quickly in a collaborative team environment
• Experience using PowerShell
• Track record of being a self-starter and strong independent contributor
• Ability to manage priorities and requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Thorough knowledge of SharePoint permission structure
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps concepts.
• Having an active CI Poly
• Expertise in implementing and managing cloud security tools and services (IAM, network security, data encryption, threat detection).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security, ensuring secure cloud deployments.
• Extensive experience in automating security testing, vulnerability management, and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in using orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform) to automate security operations.
• Ability to develop and maintain custom security automation scripts and tools.
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Go, etc.).
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant security compliance frameworks (e.g., JSIG, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Ability to translate compliance requirements into technical security controls.
• Experience in conducting security audits and assessments.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
