Description: National Security Space Remote Sensing - Right for you!
Join a high-performing technically broad group of diverse engineers working in a fast-paced environment designing and building new Remote Sensing Space Systems for critical missions of national importance. Drive the Digital Transformation of the program and your team with innovative new tools and methodologies. Be a part of a Digital Program that utilizes MBSE models instead of traditional documentation to capture the Systems Engineering baseline and DevSecOps pipelines to automate review, testing and release processes.
In this role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers leading the system integration, developing/defining the functional architecture, analyzing and defining the system performance, driving the requirements through space and ground, creating and executing test objectives to show compliance, and closing the verification at multiple levels of the architecture. You will work directly with the SEIT Technical Leads to establish and execute a successful program plan all the way through launch and operations. Help solve some of the most challenging technical problems on the program through trades and studies.

Additional responsibilities will include:
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team in the execution of a diverse array of systems integration, ICDs, modeling, and/or analysis tasks; Identify and drive solutions for technical challenges; Drive closure for program development tasks as a gate to the successful deployment of the operational system
• Interface with program IPTs and working groups to maintain awareness of program needs and priorities across the full program lifecycle, from requirements development to operational support
• Develop task plans and schedules consistent with an allocated budget, and lead team to efficiently execute those plans and deliver results
• Develop appropriate metrics to track team performance against plans; provide periodic status to program leadership.
• Lead study, costing and proposal efforts for new and enhanced contract scope.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors or higher degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or closely related subject area, or equivalent experience
• Systems Engineering process knowledge or experience and complete lifecycle experience with Engineering processes and reviews
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with National Security Program support
• Experience working the Remote Sensing portfolio and established relationships with the various customer sets.
• Experience with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level
• Experience executing a Firm Fixed Price program
• Experience in one or more Space Vehicle, Bus, or Payload analytical disciplines; building analytical models and correlating to test data; developing and allocating environmental/performance requirements throughout the system architecture; defining a test campaign to verify/validate environmental/performance requirements.
• Experience in process improvement including the optimization of work flows, tools, processes, etc to efficiently execute the program baseline.
• Experience with Cost Estimating, Study Execution, and Proposals; CAM experience including developing budgets and evaluating performance utilizing EVM.
• Experience with GitLab, Jira and Confluence Software. Include the development of DevSecOps Pipeline and process automation.
• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, etc) and/or Development and implementation of 1LMX or other digital transformation activities
• Experience with a software scripting/programming language (e.g. Python, Java, HTML, JavaScript, Matlab, Visual Basic, C/C++, etc.)
• Strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change
• Active TS/SCI w/ Poly security clearance with investigation in the last 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $135,800 - $256,000.
