Lockheed Martin Space is seeking Manager to lead a team of experienced Systems Engineers developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.
As the Specialty Engineering Manager for FBM, you will have an immediate impact on shaping the program and the organization’s future.
This is an opportunity to lead an enthusiastic team of Reliability, EMI/EMC/Lightning, and Human Factors engineers with expertise in electronic piece parts, printed wiring board/circuit card assemblies, top box assemblies, and system-level architecture to solve a variety of challenges in both a design and manufacturing/test environment, that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. Drawing upon previous leadership experience and your own technical expertise you will help your team overcome challenges, lead the resolution of critical issues, strengthen vertical/horizontal communication, and develop the organizational talent to solve the challenges of the future.
In this role you will:
• Strengthen the performance of the Reliability, EMI/EMC/Lightning, and Human Factors teams
• Exercise your expertise in the application of Reliability, EMI/EMC/Lightning, and Human Factors disciplines in support of NGI development and production
• Assign Reliability, EMI/EMC/Lightning, and Human Factors personnel to technical engineering assignments
• Lead the resolution of critical issues
• Perform functional administration tasks including coaching, group people development, and performance ownership for your team
• Apply Full Spectrum Leadership principles to help the team adjust to a new organizational paradigm.

This position may be located in: Littleton, CO or Valley Forge, PA
Successful candidates typically have 14+ years of professional experience, and a minimum education level of Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Physics, Math, or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
If selected you will need to obtain a DOD security clearance. US Citizenship required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Broad knowledge of Engineering requirements for high-reliability military programs in one of the following Specialty areas: Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP); Reliability Engineering; Survivability/Radiation Effects Engineering; Electromagnetic Effects Engineering (EMI/EMC); or Human Factors
• Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
• To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Project Leadership/Management Experience throughout the engineering life cycle: scoping, sizing, cost estimation, planning, scheduling, staffing, tracking, and earned value management
• Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.)
• Experience working collaboratively with customers and geographically dispersed teammates
• Preparation and participation in program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR
• Experience as aerospace Specialty Engineering manager
• Experience working closely with MDA customers on the missile system
• Active DOD Secret or TS clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
