As a RF Engineer Prin within LM Space, you will perform the following:
• Support multiple phases of RF product lifecycle including design, development, test, and deployment
• Engage with other leaders and Subject Matter Experts to participate in design reviews and provide feedback/input on RF systems and hardware designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful development and deployment of RF systems and hardware
Example assignments include Design, test, and troubleshoot RF hardware systems, including prototype and deliverable hardware.
The selected candidate would have:
• Radar Systems Engineer with 15 to 20 years’ experience leading teams in developing and implementing Radar Signal Processing algorithms
• Significant experience in Radar Signal Processing Algorithm development and Radar Waveform design
• Understanding of hardware trade-offs impacting Signal Processing algorithm development
• Educational and professional experience in design of active and passive RF hardware, developing architectures trades, architecting RF hardware solutions, and using simulation tools to evaluate hardware designs.
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• US Citizen
Basic Qualifications:
• Vendor interface experience, including evaluating vendor solutions
• Reivewing Vendor spec writing and procurement experience
• Experience in testing implemented signal processing algorithms in both prototype and flight hardware
• Laboratory skills in RF Hardare test, prototyping, characterization, familiarity with RF lab instruments (spectrum analyzer, synthesizer, network analyzer, power meter, etc)
• RF design experience including knowledge of active RF hardware, microwave integrated circuit design and RF measurement techniques
• Experience with RF parts selection and evaluation
• RF prototyping experience
• Ability to design and plan for designs to experience flight environments (vibration, temperature, multipaction, corona)
• Experience in leading teams of 4 to 6 less experienced engineers desirable
• Active Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Ability to attain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
• Familiarity with RF design and analysis software and tools
• RF test and trouble shooting experience
• Familiarity with RF test software and tools
• Experience with designing RF active and passive electronics
• Experience in providing test provision inputs to FPGA or ASIC engineers to support implementation validation activities
• Experience in trading off Waveform design and Algorithm design for system implementation
• Experience in developing algorithms and hardware for missile and/or space applications
• Experience in EA/EP analysis of Radar Waveform designs and Signal Processing algorithms
• Experience in adapting hardware implemented algorithms into Digital Signal Processing implementation
• Previous experience with Altimeter or HOB sensor applications desirable
• Experience in testing implemented signal processing algorithms in both prototype and flight hardware
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
