Lockheed Martin is seeking an energetic and high performing Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE), Senior Staff to join our mission as the Mk21A Reentry Vehicle (RV) RSE in King of Prussia, PA!

The Mk21A RV RSE:

• Reports through the program directly to the Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer and is responsible for technical performance associated with design, build, test, and delivery of all RV hardware required for the MK21A EMD program.

• This individual will be able to provide clear summary of performance, status, and issues to all levels of the MK21A organization related to the RV scope.

• Is the technical expert who maintains a full understanding of the Mk21A RV system and verifies compliance at the system level.

• Leads all technical aspects of the RV subsystems, including guidance and leadership of the CPEs supporting each subsystem, and integration of the RV components that constitute the RV subsystem for all RV pedigrees and configurations. Multiple CPEs will report through the RV RSE.Has a dotted line relationship to the RV IPT Lead and is held accountable for cost and schedule of the RV deliverables.

• Participates in problem solving investigations, troubleshooting, development of corrective action plans, and integration of technical requirements.

• Is responsible for having a complete understanding of program-unique and Space command media which ensures the Mk21A RV systems meet technical requirements throughout their lifecycle.

• Is the technical advocate for RV systems who gathers information, supports major reviews, participates in critical production and design decisions, and other activities to support overall RV system assessments.

• Responsible for certification of the RV (Functional Configuration Audit and Physical Configuration Audit) prior to final delivery.

• Leads the RV team in the development and sustainment of the model-based Engineering artifacts and processes.

This position is located in Valley Forge, PA. Occasional travel will be required.

Successful candidates typically have 14+ years of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree or 12+ year of professional experience with a master’s degree.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience across the program lifecycle working with multiple functions simultaneously to execute a program (For example: RSE, CPE, or IPT on previous program)

• Understanding of systems engineering principles

• MRB experience

• Excellent organization and communication skills

• Experience presenting technical information to customers, leadership, or peers

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with DoD customer

• Experience in problem investigation methods, root cause analysis methods and problem resolution/corrective action development

• Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI

• Ability to travel on an as-needed basis
Desired Skills:
• Direct experience with Reentry Vehicle programs

• Direct experience as an RSE, CPE, or IPT Lead

•Experience and knowledge of qualification process

• Proven experience in driving and implementing affordability and producibility changes, especially those directly impacting program performance

• Production Operations experience

• Familiar with Air Force Reentry Vehicle programs and Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center / ICBM Customer

• Experience across the entire program life cycle.

• Control Account Management (CAM) experience or Earned Value Management
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
