Job Responsibilities
Description:What We’re Doing:
As part of Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems business area, our Air Media Gateway (AMG) team enables the P-8A aircraft to sustain and improve the armed maritime and littoral Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance capabilities for United States Naval forces in traditional, joint and combined roles to counter changing and emerging threats. We design, develop, integrate and test a system that creates media builds to enable the aircraft to boot subsystems, record and offload mission data. We leverage DevSecOps and CI/CD through the use of Gitlab, Aquasec and Fortify, and automate testing using Robot Framework, PostgreSQL and Grafana. Virtualization and Containerization are done through Virtualbox and Docker, and we automate provisioning through QEMU, Packer, Kickstart and Ansible.

The Work:
As a Systems Administrator on the AMG Program, you will:
- Work in an agile scrum environment providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of various Information Technology (IT) systems, including networking equipment
- Support the generation of reliable/reproducible media builds, ensuring that the latest fleet releases for the aircraft can be supported, support external network interfaces for data ingest and offload, support hardware rack builds, maintain program lab infrastructure, and perform hardware installs/integration on site.
- Manage IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices
- Typical tasking will be associated with DevSecOps and network infrastructure – building software, maintaining deployment of software to hardware, building automated installation software, and maintaining OS patches for a software baseline.

Basic Qualifications:
• Technical Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited University with 5 years of professional experience, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with Linux system administration, including installing, patching, troubleshooting and hardening Linux operating systems (both bare-metal and virtual machines)
• System Administration knowledge of LAN and WAN networking topographies, Virtualization Technologies
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• OS patching/security hardening in a classified environment
• Experience with offline RHEL/Ubuntu Repo server management
• Experience with virtualization environments (e.g. VMWare) and storage array networks (e.g. NetApp, TrueNAS appliances)
• Containerization technology (Docker, Podman) experience
• Scripting experience – Python, Java, Bash
• Boot image creation
• Cisco switch configuration
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a rapid paced, team environment
• CompTIA Security+ Certification (current – will be required within 6 months of start)
• Ability to provide in-depth monitoring, able to identify and fix issues utilizing various troubleshooting techniques and procedures
• Agile Scrum development experience
• DevSecOps experience to include maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure via Gitlab and Ansible

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
