As part of the NAVAIR Analytics programs, our Fleet Common Operating Environment (FCOE) Team within PMA 261 is dedicated to supporting analytical efforts that enhance the operational efficiency and readiness of our nation's defense systems.

The Work

As a Senior Metric and Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role within the FCOE Team. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting Root Cause Analysis and implementing Root Cause Corrective Actions using analytical data.
Contributing to the development and implementation of various analytical tools to support mission-critical objectives.
Providing training to both internal and external stakeholders on the utilization of FCOE's analytical tools.
Collaborating effectively within a diverse cross-functional team to drive analytical best practices and solutions.
Delivering analytical packages that offer clear and precise guidance on identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions.

Please note:

• This position requires a Secret government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
• This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC).
• This position will involve around 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
Familiarity and expertise in using analytical tools and conducting data analysis.
Subject matter expertise in H-53 maintenance documentation requirements per the NAMP 4790.
Proficiency in Python and C++ coding languages.
Strong ability to work effectively within diverse cross-functional team environments.
Demonstrated commitment to driving analytical best practices and optimizing data analysis processes.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 5+ years experienced in Root Cause Analysis utilizing data analytics.
• 9 + experience in H-53 Aircraft Maintenance Practices.
• Microsoft Teams
• Experienced with the application of statistics and data-mining (trend discovery and analysis, text mining, correlation and pattern discovery).
• Ability to help develop analytical tools for H-53 heavy lift programs that help optimize performance and reduce cost.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/aerospace engineering/Industrial Engineering/Aviation Maintenance, operations or related field with 5+ years experience.
• Strong people and technical leadership skill with experience as a team leader
• Proven ability to organize and manage multiple projects
Exceptional verbal and written skills and ability to present complex technical issues to customers and LM management
• Demonstrated excellent team building and interpersonal skills, capable of relationship building with key internal and external stakeholders, and employees at all levels across multiple geographic locations.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross functional teams, both remote and in-person.
Exceptional verbal and written skills, and the ability to present complex technical issues to customers and LM management.
• Experience in formal Root Cause and Corrective Action
• Develop analytic tools and processes to intuitively present current, accurate and complete data to the program managers.
• Strong understanding of Naval Supply System, NAVAIR Available Data Systems
• Programming skills (Python, .net, SQL others as required), Visualization (Tableau)
• Experienced with the application of statistics and data-mining in business environment (trend discovery and analysis, text mining, correlation and pattern discovery)
• Demonstrated excellent team building and interpersonal skills, capable of relationship building with key internal and external stakeholders, and employees at all levels and across multiple geographic locations
• Familiarity with H-53E/K aircraft maintenance, support and/or design required

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
