This new air-launched weapon system will include phases progressing through design, flight test, initial production and deployment of the weapon system. Join the Lockheed Martin team and be a member of the company that has developed and flown more hypersonic vehicles than any other U.S. Company and has decades of hypersonic development and flight test experience from government contracts as well as internal investments in research and development projects.

Maintainability Engineer has responsibilities of translating requirements into design guidelines for design teams that result in a design that is ultimately less labor-intensive and less costly to operate and maintain, reducing life cycle cost.

Analyzes customer's initial design specifications and recommends basic product specifications and techniques to satisfy customer requirements. Reviews engineering specifications and drawings during development and proposes design refinements to improve ratio of operational time to maintenance time, and maintainability.

Candidate shall develop a description of maintainer tasks associated with the equipment. Analysis of maintainer tasks shall consist of the following: task number, task title, task frequency, detailed task sequence, support equipment required, tools required, job aids required, estimated task time, estimated personnel requirements, and specific Human Engineering (HE) considerations which reflect HE requirements incorporated into the design..

The candidate will support the Logistics Support Analysis effort, specifically executing the research and analysis necessary to enter required data elements into SlicWave, run reports using SlicWave, perform Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Identify Maintenance Significant Items (MSI), Lead the program through Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Incorporate results from Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and respond to customer inquiries.
Basic Qualifications:
· Familiar with a logistics database (Eagle, Slicwave, PowerLOG, SAMS) or equivalent
· Familiar with either the Army or Air Force or Navy or Marines maintenance support concepts
· Previous experience with military weapons systems or other highly complex technical systems
· Previous experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of military equipment
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Familiar with Source, Maintenance and Recoverability (SMR) codes
Desired Skills:
· Understanding of the Provisioning Process
· Understanding of Technical Manual (TM) development
· Analytical and engineering configuration management skills
· Knowledge of MIL-STD-1388-2B, MIL-DTL 24784, MIL-HDBK-502, MIL-STD 3034 and MIL-PRF-49506 ; GEIA-STD-0007
· Familiarity with Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
· Familiarity with Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
· Practical hands on experience with hardware test and troubleshooting
· Experience with planning and executing Maintenance Demonstration (M-Demo) or Logistics Demonstration (LOGDEMO) activities.
· Ability to develop scheduled maintenance requirements
· Familiar with the process of identifying repair parts, requisition, and storage using DOD systems
· Experience with Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) and/or Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL)
· RCM Level I or level II certified

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $105,000 - $197,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $91,300 - $175,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
