Description:This is a full-time telecommuting position.

As a Staff Data Architect, you will be an instrumental member of the Lockheed Martin Space Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) supporting the 1LMX business transformation to effect ground-breaking changes in defining new solutions and identifying and redefining older architectures!

The Data Architect will support two areas:

First, support the Space CDAO Data Architecture Team, under the direction of the Lead Architect to:

• Ensure that all developed architectures are consistent with the enterprise vision, mission, and roadmaps
• Develop architectures that integrate with the overall Space Enterprise Architecture and Domain-specific Architectures
• Document, model, and publish these architectures per methods and standards of the Space Data Architecture Team
• Integrate, implement, and operationalize these architectures as required

Secondly, the business area program to:

• Meet and understand the business, customers, partners and their subject areas in order to capture and understand their current-state architectures (processes/data/roles) and detail their data, reporting, and analytics needs/requests /requirements
• Work closely with customers/partners and IT to collaboratively define the solution space across the relevant domains
• Work alongside Solution and System Architects to ensure data standards & governance is met for Space non-core applications, products, and resources impacted by 1LMX
• Develop future-state conceptual architectures that are implementable, secure, scalable and supportable and decompose those conceptual architectures into functions that can be allocated to processes, data, and roles

This position requires special access. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Broad experience across IT technical subject areas including data and analytics
• Designing and architecting data solutions across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data (i.e. SQL, NoSQL, Big Data) and supporting data search solutions and indexing (i.e. ElasticSearch)
• Experience working as a Systems Engineer and deploying analytics solutions across cloud and on-prem platforms
• Experience in creating data architectures, data governance, data quality, and data measurement plans including handling of master data
• Experience in using the Cameo Systems Modeler or Enterprise Architecture (or similar)
• U.S. Citizenship
Desired Skills:
• 7+ years working as an IT Data Architect
• Experience with data, databases, data schemas, data services, application data interfaces, data infrastructure
• Basic understanding and experience in using the No Magic Cameo Systems Modeler or Enterprise Architecture (or similar) modelling tools
• Experience or strong knowledge of IBM Cloud Pak For Data suite (CP4D)
• Experience presenting at reviews with Customers and/or Senior Leadership
• Experience on Agile teams as an architecture stakeholder
• Broad, basic understanding of business and engineering activities/subject areas in DoD/Aerospace
• Demonstrated capability to communicate clearly – verbally, textually and graphically – to technical and non-technical partners at the Director level and below
• Developing, managing, and testing back-up and recovery plans and ensuring that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly
• Collaborating with IT project managers, database engineers and application programmers
• Experience in applying data access policies to heterogenous data stores
• Solid understanding of security principles in general and how to map them to IT components and functions
• Experience with SAP S4/HANA (ERP), PTC Windchill (PLM), Siemens Team Center (PLM), Dassault 3D Experience (PLM) or VE-CAMS & Apriso (MES)
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) techniques and platforms
• Experience with data catalog and business glossary platforms
• Experience with data virtualization (Tibco), reporting tools (Tableau, Webi), data storage (DB2, HANA, Oracle), Cloud and on-prem platforms, and Extract Transform Load processes (SAP Data Services)

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $125,900 - $237,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $109,500 - $209,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
